I have been working at Macy's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Consistent pay, provides a lot of customer service experience, can be a fast paced work environment, provide a lot of employee initiative

    Cons

Managers do not take your needs seriously, Very little communication between management and associates, Lack of accountability with certain employees. They do not honor your requests, will cut your hours for little to no reason, always understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Use your portals properly (Macy's Insite) , learn to communicate with your department and your associates better, if you say you are going to do something actually do it. Treat all employees the same.

I worked at Macy's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Applying during the holidays makes it easy to snag the job, because they are looking for lots of seasonal employees

    Cons

May not be placed in one department as a seasonal SA. Even if you are you may be asked to move around to cover other areas that need the help.

    I have been working at Macy's full-time

    Pros

Received occasional gratis from Account Executive and was sent to Bobbi school.

    Cons

You had to be approved for a credit card to use you store discount. The only way to enter/exit the store as an employee was thru steps, so I'm not sure how anyone who is pregnant or handicap would be able to do this.

    Advice to Management

The management is constantly changing, there was no consistency.
