    Pros

    Fast paced. They encourage you to learn alot of different things. Working for macys is an excellent first job choice. It is pretty easy and can open the door for endless possibilities. Applying for a seasonal is the best way to go and test the waters to make sure its the right choice for you.

    Cons

    Keeping your numbers high. Trying to memorize all of the different steps for each and every task you learn. Staying on your feet constantly is really hard at first but you get used to it.

    Increase your safety.

    Give employee the option of finishing out after telling them the beloved job they had is dissolved
    Give them a phone number so that they can talk to someone and try and understand

    Pros

    Scheduling system allows you to choose your own schedule, with tenure it becomes more convenient. Some of the discounts are pretty hefty as well.

    Cons

    Management blatantly talked bad about employees, and treated them with no respect. A WHOLE lot of gossip going around constantly.

    Advice to Management

    Don’t talk bad about your employees, or at least not on the floor where they are there to witness it

    Pros

    Macys money: you get macys money whenever you open a credit account or when you get customers to sign up for macys special events.

    Backdoor Discounts: Ocassionally macys will give employees a extra 10-30% off merchandice on top of the standing 20%

    Cons

    Management is all jubbled. Everyone just follows the leader, and the leader is constantly changing making for some hectic work days. Managers will say one thing one day then its completely different the next. To many mixed messages.

    I was fired, due to finishing a transaction of a coworker had started for me (2 months prior to getying fired) When I was called to AP, I was completely intimidated being told "Theres cameras everywhere." "Were always watching you." Thimgs like that. And though i expressed complete honestly and apologised for the actions I was still fired. Doesnt matter how great of a employee you are or how many satisfied clients you have, they see everyone as "indisposible." Management comes off as helpful but dont ask for to much help or you become one of the ignored or brushed off.

    Pros

    Management is so nice and the work is super easy and enjoyable schedules are flexible online and the pay is great

    Cons

    I really had no bag experiences here the only thing is I had to quit last minute and they don't let you come back after that probably the only downside to Macy's I feel former employees should be given another opportunity if things come up and they have to quit without putting in a 2 week notice

    Pros

    Very easy, Customer Service type work, seasonal work is busy, Feburary - September is SO SLOW that you can just read a book waiting for incoming calls. I love it.

    Cons

    Sit down in one place all day long.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on hosting special event, they make work fun!
