    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, Nice coworkers, Decent hours

    Cons

I very clearly told HR and my manager my end-date during my interview because I knew I would not be working the full holiday season (only working over my university's Winter Break) and yet I was repeatedly asked my end-date and subsequently met with angry reactions even though I was very clear and upfront. Sounds like a lack of organization behind closed doors. I also had no opportunity to do any commission-based work, which would have been nice.

I have been working at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment with caring associates who help each other.

    Cons

The call center wants you in your seat and available for calls 100% of the time with a 2 % margin for error. Use your 2% for incidentals like bathroom breaks ONLY. The smell of the carpet.

    Advice to Management

If management cannot be expected to adhere to a set schedule 98% of the time then why is this expected of your hourly employees. Management should be held to a higher standard and metrics. The employee surveys (regarding management) should be anonymous. Retaliation should not be tolerated.

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy work, make pretty cool friends with co workers sometimes

    Cons

Favoritism, management, rudeness, over use of authority

    Advice to Management

managers & directors need to pay more attention to their supervisors and employees. Managers think they can run the place how ever they want. The only way you move up is by FAVORTISM & being a brown noser. It doesn’t matter on numbers is what I was told by a manager, what matters is how much u do around here. Drama- rumors not only with employees but even with managers. So unappreciated for their employees.
