I worked at Macy's part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Loved my co-workers, received commission on top of a hourly salary. I really felt like I was part of a team and loved what i did. A lot more down-time than I would've liked but I was able to get more small administrative/ cleaning tasks done that way. Management had a lot of fun people which made it more fun to work.

    Cons

Management always takes the customers side, doesn't matter how wrong the customer is. If you let the customer know they're wrong and they ask to speak to management then they will always take the customers side, even if it means losing money for the company.

    Pros

Working with public, working different hours, free training, free skin care and make up and meetings in Biston.

    Cons

I wish they would hire me back but they are all set and have a enormous amount of young woman and men trying to work their way in

    Pros

The coworkers were awesome Hours were decent and made it easy to have this and another job, Room for advancement

    Cons

Management was difficult to deal with. If you weren't a favorite then it was hard to get ahead. Huge favoritism in the company. Was promised a raise and never received it

    I worked at Macy's full-time

    Pros

Great management. Exceptional associate web portal. Fair practices. Promotions for those that are conscientious and hardworking

    Cons

It's retail. No life. If this is your choice...suck it up!

I worked at Macy's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay (for retail), flexible schedule, awesome co-workers, employee discount, and AMAZING product-specific training!

    Cons

Only the usual retail-related cons...like not having a set schedule, having to work on most holidays, etc...but nothing specific to Macy's (nothing that comes to mind, at least).

I worked at Macy's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The work itself wasn’t hard. Pretty easy.

    Cons

No guidance, i came into work on time and spent a whole hour walking around all 3 floors looking for my supervisor. I almost left, to go home. Hours where given to favorites, new comers were getting 30+ hrs while myself and 3 other girls couldn’t get no more then 15 hrs.
