    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discounts and knowing when to use them
    Great co-worker culture
    Easy applying, hiring, training process

    Cons

    Scheduling system
Standing for long periods of time
    Pushing credit cards

    Advice to Management

Stop bending over backwards for unworthy customers. Such customers take advantage of the systems store ratings and in the end loses the store money. Also if I was a customer in line behind some returning used garbage from a year ago and getting their money back I would be outraged. These people do not deserve special treatment and it is unfair to everyone else.

    Pros

Flexible scheduling is all that I can think of.

    Cons

No fair wages, favoritism, nepotism, bullying, etc

    Advice to Management

Get rid of old outdated management who still use scare tactics to get results amongst other things. You know it’s bad when your coworker comes in and is told to interview for their next job without notice.

    I worked at Macy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My best reason to work at Macy's was the ability to set your own hours. I could manage my hours shifts around my class schedule and manage to get enough time for both. There is lots of room to move up in the company if you choose and many areas in work in the retail shops.

    Cons

Since it is such a large enterprise it is difficult to get you're bearings. Product knowledge was also a problem. However once fully trained in an area it is no longer an issue.
