    I worked at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a really fun job, I love how there are different age groups & a lot of positivity. Also, it was flexible because you got to choose days to work & how to manage your schedule for days off, what shifts & other departments within the store like men's, furniture, bridal, or shoes.

    Cons

The customers, some are harder to please. That's just life.

    Advice to Management

Great management, kept goals high & met them majority of the time. Always helped when I needed it & went above & beyond their efforts.

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great working environment. Relation between associates and clients were amazing.

    Cons

Poor management, no hands on or product knowledge was discussed through training process. Unfair pay.

    Advice to Management

To provide the appropriate coaching needs to each department if you see that they're struggling. Also department managers must have better communication skills amongst associates to reach company standards. Well deserved pay to experienced associates. To also provide more than a 25 cent raise each year after your "reviews". Department managers need to now the difference between delegating tasks than trying to assert their authority because they're"above us"

I worked at Macy's as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Recruitment office is amazing! Pay is about average for San Francisco at $30/hr + $1500 bonus for housing. Overtime eligible. Great new office. The people were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Went to company outings frequently.

    Cons

Onboarding can be confusing and shortage of MacBook Pros contributes to poor planning for onboarding. Also feedback as far as team placement wasn't really considered.

    Advice to Management

Have more 1 on 1 with TECH EDPS and interns!

Nice people to work! Everyone helps if you reach out to them. Understanding the wirk is easier. People around are supporting and helpful.
