    Great store manager and great supervisors

    Cons

    Minimum wage and very tight with raises. Don’t expect to get a dollar raise, lucky if you get a .40 cent raise after a year.

    Pay more!

    Pros

    Working for company has no pros. The upper management doesn’t value the associates. If it goes this way, the company might go out of business soon.

    Cons

    Everything you can imagine goes wrong. The upper management doesn’t appreciate anything you do for them. They are not even well qualified to be in the position they are offered.

    Advice to Management

    The upper management is the worst. I don’t know how they got this job.

    Pros

    Enjoying all my customer's and entertaining new customer's. Working as a team player to achieve all of our store goals. Fufillment our online shopper's: assisting them with their purchases. Assisting the marketing and Vendor teams. Assisting all of my fellow crew and manager's with projects. Assisting with Year end Inventory.

    Cons

    Shifts that are at varying times. Computer's database that sometimes is not working right to allow us to change shifts, to swap shifts or take a vacation.

    Advice to Management

    We need more Crew help thru out the day and night to assist us in all the varying functions on the floor and with Customer's.

    The management is very nice and helpful

    Flexible schedule depending on who's your manager.

    Human Resource is not very helpful

    Extremely rude and demanding customers

    Long hours

    You have to work a long time to be able to get paid time off.

    Don't be so uptight all the time

    Learn how to take a break from your job

    Agree with associate instead of customer

    Don't get angry if associate does something wrong instead teach them

    Constantly getting rid of their full time employees.

    Need to have stability in management rather than every 2 years to bring in new manager that fell threatens by their subordinates because they are not fit to carry out their functions.

    Pros

    Macy's will prepare you to be on the phone, and it's a good training material.
    The pay is "okay." They always have overtime available and it's well paid.

    Cons

    You will be assigned to a supervisor, who will monitor you weekly or biweekly depending of the department. And, it's handle by a system called "nice" this program will score you depending on time, customer experience, listening the customer, so this can be tedious; don't get me wrong it's good to have someone giving you feedback, but it can be overwhelming.
