    Pros

We have an extremely helpful management and HR team. We are given flexible working hours for associates who need it and high employee moral throughout the store.

    Cons

The only thing that hurts our store is that we are understaffed and makes it hard to help all customers on busy days.

I have been working at Macy's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Enjoying all my customer's and entertaining new customer's. Working as a team player to achieve all of our store goals. Fufillment our online shopper's: assisting them with their purchases. Assisting the marketing and Vendor teams. Assisting all of my fellow crew and manager's with projects. Assisting with Year end Inventory.

    Cons

Shifts that are at varying times. Computer's database that sometimes is not working right to allow us to change shifts, to swap shifts or take a vacation.

    Advice to Management

We need more Crew help thru out the day and night to assist us in all the varying functions on the floor and with Customer's.

    Pros

Great business. Lots of multitasking experience.

    Cons

Constantly getting rid of their full time employees.

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Macy's will prepare you to be on the phone, and it's a good training material.
The pay is "okay." They always have overtime available and it's well paid.

    Cons

You will be assigned to a supervisor, who will monitor you weekly or biweekly depending of the department. And, it's handle by a system called "nice" this program will score you depending on time, customer experience, listening the customer, so this can be tedious; don't get me wrong it's good to have someone giving you feedback, but it can be overwhelming.

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Room for growth and improvement

    Cons

Reviews for raises shouldn’t be based off just the numbers customer services goes a long way.

    Advice to Management

Step in when you can! Just managing doesn’t get you the respect you need from employees to make MAGIC

    I have been working at Macy's part-time

    Pros

    Many nice and friendly/well-educated coworkers.
This leads to a overall Hospitality spirit that may not be warranted based on the lousy pay.
    20% employee discount.

    Cons

Lousy pay which leads to low morale.
Benefits are expensive to purchase and have deducted from your paycheck.
You are paid so poorly you can't afford to purchase the items they have in the store!
Work here and join the working class poor

    Advice to Management

This is a company that makes money hand-over-fist.
Why not take care of your employees by paying them a livable wage!
They are one of the major reasons why a Macy's store can't have exceptional sales
    volume.
Your employees and fine products are the reason why people come to Macys.
You pay them so poorly which belies an insult to your employees.
There will come a time when you will not have any kind of good employee because the pay is so poor no one would want to work there
