    I worked at Macy's part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Worked there as a weekend flyer during college and it was very convenient and easy going. My manager at the time worked with my schedule when I came home for weekends and holidays. Met my best friend there.

    Cons

Working on the important holidays like 'Thanksgiving'. They should be closed so employees could properly enjoy their families. I understand them wanting to compete with other companies, but they're a huge company and can set the standard.

Increase the pay and employee discount.

I have been working at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you want to loose weight great place to be

    Cons

Been there for 2 years and it was the worst so unorganized its like slave labour, a four man job will turn in to a one man job just to save money and the worker sees non of it. The best is when you leave them you find better employment.

    Advice to Management

Learn to manage better I'm 22 and I run 4 stores at another company. Know that there is no loyalty so don't waste years in the company because you have nothing in return to get, only to say you worked for the company.

I worked at Macy's (More than a year)

    Pros

Unfortunately, there are no pros working for this company.

    Cons

The company as a whole treats their employees both non-management and management horrible. Low pay. Overworked. Disparate treatment. Even if you are a top seller, they don't appreciate your commitment and hard worked. Impossible to get promoted even if you are a good worker and top selling producer. The send you to a free all day lunch to find out about job opportunities, make false promises of job promotion they never keep. If you attempt to make a complaint through the company "In-Store:" program, they just go through the motions to act like they are doing something to resolve you issue. In reality, they just procrastinate in hopes you will go away. If you go the route to make a complaint through the "In store resolution program":, make sure you have documented dates of offenses and a paper trial documenting you made attempts to have you problem resolved through management, Maybe good for a seasonal position only, not for someone interested in a legitimate career path,

    Advice to Management

Get your act together and start treating and respecting your employees like human beings and not animals. You should genuinely reward you employees who are top producers.
