    I worked at Macy's part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Flexible schedule that also allows hours to be picked up in authorized departments. Employee discount and some vendor incentives on specific items. cons: Horrible hours during the holidays and the customers have become more abusive, demanding and rude as time passes. Declining sales and stores closing nationwide.

    Cons

    Overall declining what once was a good department store. Employees are exhausted and mistreated.

    Advice to Management

    The reality is you also are replaceable.

    I have been working at Macy's part-time

    Pros

    Macy's offers Flexible scheduling. Its the only job that you can take a month off and still have a job.

    Cons

    Management changes every few months. Most positions are painfully boring. During peak you'll work with junkys.

    I have been working at Macy's part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Efficient online system for worker's needs. Flexible scheduling in different departments of the store. You can work as much or as little hours as you want.

    Cons

    You get whatever shifts aren't taken already, so it can be a 4 hour shift for 9/10 hour shift, depending on the leftovers.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more training on handling issues with the registers. There are unexpected errors and issues every shift and for newbies, we have to call the managers for anything and everything, which wastes the time of customers.
