    I worked at Maersk Oil full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Competitive pay and benefits
    -Catered lunch daily
    -Reasonably flexible working schedule
    -Opportunity to involve yourself in many areas of the business

    Cons

    -Corporate did not seem as committed to business units outside of headquarters in Denmark
    -Excessive bureaucratic red-tape in decision making and duplication of tasks with little organization between business units
    -Seem to lack a unified direction between business units

    Advice to Management

    Diversify your assets so as to avoid economic hardships felt with the decline in oil prices. Increase your risk tolerance.

    Great benefits.
    Team of hardworkers.
    Pays well.
    Core Values.
    Takes care of full-time employees.

    Cons

    Not many opportunities.
    Management seems very inexperienced with MCPs.
    Direction of Executives not very clear.

    Advice to Management

    Establish a direction, and place the proper experienced folks into the right positions.

    Great employees who are smart and motivated and fun to work with. MITAS program looked great for recent graduates.

    Cons

    No 9/80 work schedule, few intern professional development activities in Houston.

    Great company with a lot of history and structure. Great benefits.

    Cons

    Very provincial and not global. Trying but not getting there. Are all over the world but act local.

    Pros

    Great benefits and great environment. Employees made to feel safe and respected at all times. Continuos engagement results used to regulate management

    Cons

    Strategy has been a failure. Executive leaders did not have support of head office and their effectiveness was impeded.

    Advice to Management

    Building a strong leadership team takes effort. In future please strive for this.

    Great work life balance, free(taxed) lunch, good benefits

    Cons

    The US not in the major plans for the future.

    Advice to Management

    Be straight forward with employees, tell them the truth.

    Poor management. They hired some people and then let them go a month later in the downsizing project

    Great training program with opportunities to travel abroad.

    Cons

    Sort of feel forgotten after training program. Not alot of meaningful work. Hard to get additional training courses approved

    Advice to Management

    Acquire some US assets to keep the local talent here!

    Great corporate culture. Great benefits. Willingness to provide significant training and courses to improve job.

    Cons

    Lack of vision for future. A lot of red tape with Copenhagen. Salaries not in par with other oil and gas companies in Houston.
