I have been working at Magna International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay increases on the regular. Wonderful co workers for the most part, management is always improving. The ethics of this company are amazing. I feel as though most everyone ACTUALLY care.

    Cons

High turnover, lack of supervision on an off shift. Increased complacency in the off shift due to lack of supervision. Lopsided work loads for some who work hard and the lazy ones get away with it. Not a true work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Fair treatment through the entire factory not just department decisions. Talk about it be about it don’t forget where you came from. Remember to care.

I worked at Magna International full-time

    Pros

good pay, some nice employees there

    Cons

sexual harrassment on almost a daily basis. Morale is low. I went into this place anti-union and came out pro-union. While most companies allow your health/dental insurance to end at the end of the month in which you quit, Magna ends it on your last day of the job. You'll be working with some folks who have a criminal record so always pay attention to your surroundings. Work/life balance is awful. If you are working in a position no one likes you won't be able to get someone to work for you and you'll be working 7 days a week. So, this is a better job for a single person, not someone with a family.

    Advice to Management

Buy food for your employees once in a while or bring in ice cream. That place is hot as h-ll depending on where you are. Clean up your policies so you don't get sued. Realize that if you want to have employee retention, you'll need to have better schedules and not work your people into the ground. Treat people there as if they were your own family.

    Pros

The starting pay is decent and the interview is short and simple

    Cons

The Supervisos work against you and nit pick and want to own you.

    Advice to Management

Work WITH your employees and you might actually keep some

    Pros

Friendly people, management makes a point to interact with everyone, from the directors to the interns

    Cons

it felt like a lot of the work being done was redundant or inefficient

    Advice to Management

Structure your processes and workflows better, you will get more done in less time.

    Pros

There are no pros for me.

    Cons

Started on 11-26-18and fired on 11- 29 -18, worked in cart maintenance as fabricator/welder/maintenance on actual job three days my bosses loved the work I was doing said they had been looking for someone with my talent for over two years. called to h r on my last day said I was fired for not putting prior job down on my application and escorted off property. I found out later that my wife who had recently redone my resume had accidently left the job off which was in question, and I had copied on to my application.. finally got in touch with h r manager and basicly tried to ex plain what had happened and begged for my job back.all he could do was talk down to me and say you were let go for not completeing your 90 days and falsifying documents.12-17 -18 haven't received sepration notice/personnel stuff/and pay check that they said they would mail me ,not to mention back ground check showing job left off.

    Advice to Management

people are human they make mistakes. to the person in charge, if you see this please investigate and contact me .thankyou. carrollton ga decostar.

    Cons

for a billion dollar company very very cheap when it comes to its employees. We almost had a month off for a shut down with no work or pay check a lot of people didn't come back after that hopefully if we have another and I am still their it won't be as loooooooooooong ..............
there is no company standard you go to a different plant and they do things completely different . H.R can't seem to schedule interviews correctly Etc. ............................

    Advice to Management

    Do a better job
