I worked at Magna International as an intern

    Pros

Magna is a well established and successful company. The people there were friendly and willing to help if I were to ever need it. Pay was decent.

    Cons

As a college intern Magna was quite boring. My team mates were all males in their 50's so it was no surprise that as a 21 year old female it wasn't very exciting. People there seemed to dislike their job and left work exactly at 5pm. There wasn't much passion in the work being done which was sad to see.
Also, there was not much guidance. If I asked for help my boss would happily help, but he would never talk to me outside of this.

I worked at Magna International full-time

    Pros

-Small company feel with a large company outreach
-Profitability of the company is usually great due to the size of contracts accepted
    - Great diversity in the workplace

    Cons

    -Poorly managed projects
-Poor understanding of customer requirements in quoting phase lead to unrealistic expectations to engineers
-Only tend to hire experienced employees. Very few college grads and millennials.

    Advice to Management

Use Magna's influence to procure fair timelines and quotes on products. Managers need to be more in touch with the daily flow of the projects. Often every thing is left up to the project leads until it is too late for changes or managerial input.
