    Pros

    The people are really nice.

    Cons

The pay isn't great. There is no motivation for career advancement and their policies are a nightmare. Sometimes you are forced to fill out reports and things that don't pertain to the current job just to fill out a timesheet...

    Advice to Management

Improve your HR. Don't lock people out of certain systems for not filling out surveys. Have surveys that pertain to actual job and in the field work.

    Pros

open ness and ability to bring your ideas in front of others. Moreover people are friendly and some consultants were very sharp and intelligent.

    Cons

lack of professionalism. less accountability. More of a take it easy kind of attitude. No body was every fired for bad performance. people are very picky about things

    Advice to Management

get more accountability from people and provide some personal space. there seems to be an attitude of non functional company. bring in more consulting folks

    Pros

The organization provides an opportunity to make your mark in it's rebuilding efforts; by enabling business growth and creating an eco-system of client/partner relationships w/ direct involvement of newly onboarded Senior Management.

WIth a presumably forward looking new leadership, giving right opportunities to middle management and pushing the envelope makes tremendous sense. The only caveat being not to "over-do" the sales; but complement it with strong business commitments that impact the longer term & medium term goals.

    Cons

Still trying to stay out of the woods, thru an early start to its rebuilding efforts. It needs strong business vision that can cut across multiple roles in a global organization and can support it's growth.

Seems shrewd in its principles and conniving to put interpersonal relationships first. It is yet to make it's mark as an internationally renowned professional organization. Low opportunities for people in the field to voice out their concerns.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together at building a professionally viable and sustainable Global Organization

    Pros

File H1 visa for its employees
    Had good clients

    Cons

Difficult to get promotions even if you work hard
Now lost most of the clients in north America. So not much opportunities in this region
    Salary package is too bad

    Advice to Management

Please make sure that performers are getting rewarded. Sack incapable middle level managers

    Pros

If you are starting in a new functional postion, you can learn the ropes of IT outsourcing here. Good place to start if as a Trainee in India. Very large company with considerable experience in all areas of IT.

    Cons

Not the place for business consultants or people aspiring to be business consultants. Very hard to transition to a new role. Networking is difficult, opportunities to understand someone elses role and expertise are very limited.

    Advice to Management

Feedback, very important to be constructive and two way.

    Pros

Was one of the good offshore IT companies but with the exposure of issue by ex-ceo it appears very unsafe in present time to be with the company.

Options may be better once a new company buys this and settles / revamps the organisation structure.

Lots of good people are in a bad situation due to market conditions else many would have fled by now

Expect things to improve in the near future so good times return to one of the leading offshore service provider.

Wishing all the best for those who still continue to support Satyam

    Jai Hind

    Cons

Uncertain future as its working capital is low

    Advice to Management

recognize people better and groom them for higher levels

    Pros

Challenging Projects (almost every project turns in to a challenge), some of the interesting technologies you get to work on.

    Cons

Recognition is hard to come. Management does not look for value added services that can bring more rewards.

    Advice to Management

Recognize people who are smart. Remove layers of middle management.
