    Pros

Great culture, pay and benefits. You have the autonomy to run and grow the territory as you see fit.

    Cons

You are help solely responsible for a lack of performance in the territory.

I have been working at Main Street America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent and Benefits are OK

    Cons

This is the worst company I have ever worked from in my entire career! It starts from the Top Management. The CIO is absolutely crazy! She yells and screams at her subordinates. Hr does nothing about it! She and her direct reports are unqualified for their positions. For three years in a row we can not even pass a successful Disaster Recovery! The CIO is so stupid she decided to move to another manage service company instead of working on consolidating the systems. She has absolutely no business sense! And three years in a row no bonus only to the executives. The IT dept is an afterthought with the executives.

    Advice to Management

Fire the CIO. She been there for years as has not completed a dam thing!

I have been working at Main Street America full-time

    Pros

Great employees to work with. Dedicated but taken advantage of

    Cons

A merger is taking place. CEO gets $8.3 million. Employees nothing. 9 years without full bonus. Only two years with 50% bonus. Executives get promoted, big bonuses and nobody cares about the people.

    Advice to Management

    Be ashamed

    Pros

    IT Dept continues to grow.

    Cons

Once you reach a certain level, unless you choose to move to Admin side, there is no place to go.

    Advice to Management

Create more Technical Lead positions to take advantage of knowledge transfer.

    Pros

Before working here, I didn't think companies really cared about their employees anymore -- it was always about the bottom line until I came here. Every day, I'm amazed at what MSA offers their employees -- just last month, an announcement that there would be a flat annual bonus $ across the company when it was determined the short term incentive goal was not achieved for the year; full lunch cafeteria in Keene partially subsidized by the company; more vacation days starting at Day 1 than I had at my last job after 5 years; 401k contribution plus pension---who does that? Average retention seems so long here that I fear most employees don't realize how good they have it. I appreciate working for MSA every day.

    Cons

    I can't think of one.

I have been working at Main Street America full-time

    Pros

I can only speak for my region and interactions with senior leadership but, from the top down, the company does an excellent job of supporting staff, encouraging successes, and really "walking the walk and talking the talk" when it comes to a team outlook. Another aspect that I find to be a rare positive in this industry is that the company has a culture of assisting employee skill development that goes far beyond what many other companies actually deliver.

    Cons

Systems and IT support are not entirely on par with competitors in the marketplace. The majority of employees are still tied to desks with computer terminals. But I realize that Rome wasn't built in a day.

    Pros

Small in terms of number of people, so you have a very good opportunity to make an impact and a difference

    Cons

Being small, not a lot of specialized resources, so you must be able to cover a lot of bases
