    Pros

Great job for someone starting their sales career. You will not make much more than your base pay.

    Cons

You will not make much more than your case pay. The turn over rate is very high. I've been here 30 days and 7 people have quit, including a manager.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to provide warm leads.

    Pros

You are told you will have benefits, paid vacation, Stock options, but you have to survive the first 3 months after no training whatsoever.

    Cons

3 days of training, and that;s it. One manager for every Thirty-Five Employees. MSH hired/hires more employees than they do managers.

    Advice to Management

Find more of you. Cause one manager per 35 employees doesn't cut it, I never even had a One on One, my manager had a temper and was constantly playing with her top representatives.

I worked at Main Street Hub full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This place is a joke. You will meet some cool people here. There are tons of snacks and booze. Ping pong table. Chill dress code.

    Cons

No perks, awful benefits. The script is long. The leads suck. You are micro managed. No one wants or needs this service. It's not even SaaS because it is not software. People quit everyday. I made a game of betting on who would quit next. Managers are arrogant and overworked. If you did not hit quota, you will be expected to get in early, work late and come in on weekends. They will hire anyone here. I worked with a guy with a full on neck tattoo. The starting salary is 35k. Don't think you'll be living in SF off that. OTE is maybe 60k and I say that generously. No one ever hits. The environment is disheartening and demotivating. Someone told me they are going public soon...yea right, I surely hope not. Work someplace else, even pan handle, you'll enjoy it more. Come back late from lunch 1 minute? You'll be talked to. This is not a place for adults. Everyone quits, even managers. No job security. Surprised they are still around! Can't believe they even have funding. Turnover is atrocious. You may get hired as an ex con. Revolving door. All of the good reviews are from employees they made write them.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Quit lying. Be transparent. Promote within. Pay a decent salary. You are the lowest paying company in SF by far. None of your employees can even afford to live in SF.

I have been working at Main Street Hub full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They treat their employees very well as long as you produce. Having worked in a sales position, its all about the numbers. If sales is your passion, and you love the thrill and the chase of cold calling, you will be rewarded handsomely. They are fantastic spiffs/prizes to entice and motivate you, and the support from your peers is infectious.

    Cons

If you arn't producing, you are forgotten. You can be at the top one moment and at the bottom the next. Most of the position is 95% rejection from gatekeepers and ignorant business owners. You are chasing deals, calling and calling and calling. People will hang up on you, they will get angry with you, they will be nice and they will stand you up.... If you dont want to spend %95 of your career doing this in order to reap the 5% reward, than this is not a job for you.

    Advice to Management

Recognize before you let other people go that they may have other talents in the company, if sales is not their thing.

    Pros

My experience with Main Street Hub has been great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting challenge. Amazing environment with supportive managers, teammates, and executives. I never thought that I could work for a company as fun as this. I consider myself lucky to be a part of something bigger than me and look forward to moving up with Main Street Hub.

    Cons

This job requires effort? Nothing in life that is great is easy. If you are looking for a job where you don't have to think and can just show up and push the autopilot button then this is not the place for you. If you don't want to be challenged and go outside of your comfort zone you would not like MSH.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Main Street Hub full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a current employee at MSH, and will tell you how it is. This is hands down one of the best jobs I've ever had. No matter what work is work, but at MSH they give you an opportunity to make a lot of money, if you can figure out the sale. You have one job with this company, that is to sell. If you're good at sales and a good person, and know how to let your personality shine over the phone, you will make money while helping small business owners make more money that they would have never made. If you are a hustler and can be genuine you will bank at MSH. The CEOS are young and want everything completely transparent so that they know what they have to fix. The reviews that you see that are bashing on MSH are people who truly just were not cut out to sell social media. This job isn't for everyone but if you really think about it, you are selling a great product, hanging with great people everyday, and making great deals of money. This job will also give you skills that are valuable in any other role you may take on

    Cons

Its cold calling. Somewhat of a high turnover rate because they hire a bunch of people who are not typically cut out for sales. MSH is not for everyone but If you have a passion for social media you will enjoy this position.

    Advice to Management

The management is great, they will help you close deals even if you're not amazing starting out on the phone. Keep it up

I worked at Main Street Hub full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Main Street are their trainings on inside sales, keeping a short sales cycle, dealing with obj's, and of course the culture. Very "young" atmosphere. Loud music makes the day go by faster. Plenty of spiffs and fun competitve spirit keeps the nature of cold-calling bareable. No dress code. Happy hour. Stocked kitchen. Much more. Amazing commission structure. Loved my time there! Loved management!

    Cons

You will be cold-calling for at least 8 hours / day. You are expected to come in early and stay late. Work saturdays. Prospect during the weekends. This is a commission job of winners, so it is no surprise that the suggested hours for success are heavy (7AM - 7PM - at least these are the hours the top sales people work). Some stay later (until 9 PM) to hit their commission or win trips to Paris or London. Come here to work hard & play hard, as they say.

    Advice to Management

Employees should know obj's by heart. Do whatever it takes to get everyone on board.
