    Pros

Didn't actively interfere with us after they acquired us

    Cons

Not a company that strives for excellence

    Advice to Management

In a competitive market, you have to have something that makes your company a compelling choice for would-be customers. Seek and retain high calibre talent. Don't continue to let your reputation be "body shop". When you're just a body shop, it's a race to the bottom when selling services.

I have been working at ManTech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, benefits, able to move inside company (small fish in a big pond)
    Great resume building company.

    Cons

Becoming lost and just another line number does happen. Promotions are few.
The higher program managers seem to think everyone works as a time, but the front lines tell a different story.

    Advice to Management

In my time, management has gotten better after a number of bad reviews and hire turnover. You can support both your customers and employees if you listen to both. Take the time listen to people while they work for you not when they are leaving.

I have been working at ManTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free coffee
    It's a paycheck
The particular location in Stafford, VA means you don't have to drive into DC

    Cons

The benefits and compensation are average at best
Great work is not appreciated nor rewarded as one would expect. As a matter of fact, the company finds every excuse in the fine print to not reward you
The company and management genuinely does not care about you
The company has a very difficult time attracting top talent. If you want to work among smart people that will also make you better, this is not the place
Career opportunities are not clear at all. Getting a PMP and becoming a Program Manager seems to be the only path for advancement

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why the majority of the employees are apathetic and just show up to work for a paycheck. Hopefully the cause is something that can be fixed and can improve morale.

Need to have PM better in the know of what is going on with contracts.

    Pros

ManTech has lots of opportunities as far as jobs if you have the right Clearance level, As well as a great Mobility program to help the employee move around with in the company.

    Cons

ManTech will not in most cases upgrade your clearance level and they will not hire someone that does not meet the exact qualifications as posted on the Job description.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time with you employees to learn their personal and professional goals, Cultivate their ambitions and push them to achieve them.

I have been working at ManTech full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great Local Team and Management

Decent Salary and Benefits for the area

    Supporting the Armed Forces

    Business Casual Dress Code

    Cons

    Lack of Functional Manager Empowerment

Higher Management believes "Knowledge is Power"; information flow issues.

Employee is on the losing end of every policy change.

Disparities in pay between employees in same positions.

    Advice to Management

Please fix current information flow and functional manager empowerment. Any claims made by management is normally different then corporate management claims. It is hard to trust information from any of the management when they are repeatedly superseded by corporate. Either provide management with the right information or empower them to make decisions.
