I have been working at ManTech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

9/80 work week, decent work/life balance, company sponsored gatherings. Lot of opportunity to change positions.

    Cons

In order to save money they will have one person doing the work of 2-3 people and not pay for the increase in duties. Benefits are expensive (High Anthem Deductibles).

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people that make you look good. Stop taking people for granted.

    Pros

ManTech Mobility team works hard to assist employees find other jobs when their contracts are closing--even if that new job is at another company. Overall, ManTech is not a bad company to work for, depending on the customer and site/location, and ManTech seems to have a lot of sites to choose from.

    Cons

ManTech leaders seem to concentrate on buying up smaller companies rather than acquire new business, which then leads to reorganization and "scaling back down to stay within contract limits" or having to pair up with other companies to win contract work back that the original small company once had.

    Advice to Management

Find out what works to keep the good people on contract and win/keep the customers to the contracts before buying up the smaller companies for their contracts. Buying out the companies only to then lose their contracts is a net loss in the end.

I have been working at ManTech (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pays comparatively higher than similar contractors in the area.

    Cons

No workforce development to speak of. Took some training courses, but no real culture of nourishing the skill sets, so it just goes to waste.

    Advice to Management

Focus on keeping talent to keep the turnover low.

    Pros

Large safe company that will be around as long as the government needs contracted workers.

    Cons

Slow small pay increases and lack of individual recognition.

    Advice to Management

Reduce employee turnover and boost company size by providing fair annual increases on par with inflation and additional increases for above average job performance.
