I worked at ManTech full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

One of the best experience during my time at ManTech is being promoted. In addition, I had some great supervisors and manger.

    Cons

The least thing I liked is the salary increases diminished over the years. Corporate made the decision not to give large increases.

I have been working at ManTech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture, great benefits, tuition reimbursement, provides laptops if needed, overall great organization to work for.

    Cons

I honestly cannot think of a bad thing to say about Mantech. Ok one bad thing buts its not their fault. ManTech does not have much administrative work but that should not be expected because its an IT company. I got lucky to get my foot in the door 5 years ago and sad that my time is coming to an end.

    Advice to Management

Continue treating your employees like people and not numbers. It goes a long way. We appreciate it.

I worked at ManTech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to transfer within, several job openings, pay, and benefits.
Perfect company for a temporary resume builder.

    Cons

Just another paycheck job. Not good for promotions. Management with take the Government's word over yours, even if false. You are treated as just another line number.
The best talent does not stay here.

    Advice to Management

Hire better managers or put current managers in some kind of training.

I worked at ManTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is good, if you have the right points on your resume.
Benefits are there, PTO is an issue with sick days.
    Number of job openings.
Use your time at ManTech as a pay check to seek better employee.
It is great for retired DOD members for extra beer money.

    Cons

Be realistic, this is a profit focused company not an employee focused company.
ManTech cares about the next contract and buying smaller companies for there contracts. Once this happens the program goes down hill slowly and the talent that built the program leaves. I have watched 3 great programs slowly fade once ManTech was the owner.
Management does not care about employee progression or concerns.

    Advice to Management

Working with government customers is hard enough, ManTech management needs to better back their employee. They add to the issues or ignore them rather than have due diligence to investigate the root cause.

I worked at ManTech full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Typical pros of corporate employment - decent benefits, work from home days, leave time, 401k matching.

    Cons

Typical cons of corporate contracting employment - red tape, contract jobs are only as stable as the contract itself.

I have been working at ManTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free coffee
    It's a paycheck
The particular location in Stafford, VA means you don't have to drive into DC

    Cons

The benefits and compensation are average at best
Great work is not appreciated nor rewarded as one would expect. As a matter of fact, the company finds every excuse in the fine print to not reward you
The company and management genuinely does not care about you
The company has a very difficult time attracting top talent. If you want to work among smart people that will also make you better, this is not the place
Career opportunities are not clear at all. Getting a PMP and becoming a Program Manager seems to be the only path for advancement

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why the majority of the employees are apathetic and just show up to work for a paycheck. Hopefully the cause is something that can be fixed and can improve morale.

I worked at ManTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Experience to jot down on a resume, ManTech University a decent outlet to learn, and pretty decent coworkers and colleagues.

    Cons

Low pay, disorganized management. Hesitant and resistant to change for better, indirect rates high because of their attitudes to not change current process. There's a promise for promotion, but their word is as good as a distant family member who promises to pay you back.

    Advice to Management

Change your management, bring in new people with fresh ideas for change and who are willing to do the job. Also, wouldn't hurt to talk dress code to the people on the 5th floor. Most of the time they either look like it's casual Friday to the extreme ( hoodies, sweat pants, ripped jeans) or it's a club (tight short skirt/dresses, 6inch heels).
