I have been working at Management Recruiters of Racine full-time

    Pros

You are the master of your destiny at this company! Work hard, listen to the advice, and involve yourself with others who will help you. I have made more money than I every have in my life. It is funny how any negative reviews are from former employees!

    Cons

It is a numbers driven industry, and company. It is completely up to you to make it in this industry. Only the strong survive. The owner of this company cares deeply for the people he knows will be steady employees. He does not have time for people he knows are not cutting it. You can't get emotionally attached to people that will not be a part of your business long term. This is the hardest job I have ever had, but also the most rewarding.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone as Individuals. Everyone in this business learns differently and responds differently to challenges.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The former owner was a wealth of knowledge and a great (albeit crass) leader who did fantastic training sessions.

    Cons

The new leadership does not care about their employees and did not embrace technology. The leadership plays favorites and provides different resources and comp plans for different people based on the personal relationship.

    Advice to Management

Embrace new and emerging technology, don't be amazed by a basic boolean search, implement consistent and fair policies.

Opporunity to make six figures, good training from original owner.

    Cons

management change resulting in ill-equipped leadership; different policies for different people including compensation levels, extreme micro management, lack of professionalism

    Advice to Management

establish consistent policies, treat employees profesionally; keep employee personal information private, terminate the VP and put someone effective in place
