Management respects employees and listens to us, work can be difficult at times but the relationship between employer and employee makes all the difference. i love working for MSA so far. Look forward to many years to come!

There's almost a cliche about MSA in Pittsburgh - it seems like everyone who works in IT worked at MSA for a year or two. The company is good about giving people a chance to learn technology on the job. Work-life balance was good too. I almost never had a call after work and the hours were somewhat flexible.

Pay was really not good, nor were benefits. I was there a few years ago and the pay was low even by Pittsburgh standards. I can't imagine it's better now. The 401k match was a joke, though I do have to say that at the time, it was Principal who managed the 401K and they did a great job.

Pros

I can't say enough how great the culture is for all employees. Opportunities for advancement and involvement in new technologies. Hybrid opportunities to meet preference either remote or in-office. Cutting edge and up to date office facilities.

MSA as a company is a great place for both freshers and experienced candidates like me looking for a solid client base and preferred line of business to work in given the large portfolio. With transition to advanced technology and business solutions, this is a great opportunity for people to contribute and utilize their skills to the greater extent.

No office branches to work in across the states. Although, WFH opportunities available.

MSA has gone through a changes in executive leadership over the last year. The new leadership has implemented very positive changes. Employees now have the option to work 100% remotely giving employees the option to relocate outside of the Pittsburgh area. This decision was based on feedback from the employees. MSA will be moving to a new modern office location that includes parking early next year if you opt to go into the office. All in all the changes are very positive and provide much needed organizational transparency for all employees.
