I worked at Management & Training Corp. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some, not all, of the students lives were changed in a positive way and it's rewarding to see them become responsible adults.

    Cons

Management is atrocious at best. The morale of the staff is low, undereducated people are placed in management positions over more qualified staff to keep the upper management as the only ones with any knowledge and unchallenged authority. The turnover in staff with college degrees is ridiculous. The entire case management dept that was in place on January 1, 2014 were no longer employed there by 2016 except for the weakest link in the dept. Check the video Brunswick Job Corps get off on YouTube to see the senseless violence on that center. Also as a case manager you will be lucky to have work from other departments piled onto you because it is determined that since you are degree holding you can handle more. A ton of expectation for output with one of lowest salaried positions in the facility.

    Advice to Management

Quit and let qualified people come in there and clean that place up. Not those who are there for the paycheck like you currently have.

I have been working at Management & Training Corp. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been working with this company for over 18 years. They give their employees an opportunity to develop and to move into positions that are the best fit for their abilities. I have had the opportunity to relocate to different areas and have had the chance to do the kind of work that I love. As with any company, you get out of a job what you put into it. Job satisfaction is a two way street and with MTC you have the opportunity to use your skills in ways that both benefit you and the company.

    Cons

Can't really say there are any cons worth mentioning that would be helpful.

    Advice to Management

Continue improving on the BIONIC (Believe It Or Not I CARE) philosophy!

I have been working at Management & Training Corp. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bonuses are of good amounts. Medical insurance is okay but use to be great. Stayed employed with MTC for over 5 years and it was for the insurance and the students.

    Cons

Big corporation trying to cut corner to make a profit. They tell employees to work harder with less. The pay is below market and raises are very minimal. We received a one cent raise one year and a three cent raise the next. Asked for a raise and was told to be happy that we have a job. Management has no teaching experience and has forgot what it is like to be at the bottom.

    Advice to Management

Remember what it is like to be at the bottom and provide cost of living raises rather than the slap in the face raises that you provide. Get management that have teaching experience.
