I worked at Manchester Airports Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The training given is ok for the role I was going to do

    Cons

Shift changes without asking you. Managers are not trained to handle a team poor communication no guidance no support. Trying to get hold of people controlling shift patterns very difficult. Forced to wear there uniform which is poor quality and not fit for purpose.

I have been working at Manchester Airports Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Nothing much anymore unless you like planes

    Cons

Unqualified management with no idea how to get the best from people To many levels of management If you have a degree in bakery then you will rise to the top pun intended but if you have airport experience don't bother because you won't get anywhere Most reviews say the people working there are the best thing but don't be fooled the majority will use you to get on

I worked at Manchester Airports Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Work colleagues are amazing, they are the people that make the place run and give the customers the best experience! The airport in general is a nice place to work and is a city within a city! I found my car parks colleagues a really family and they really care about what they do and each other. Training was fantastic with really good facilities.

    Cons

Where do I start... annualised hours contracts! Extremely poor senior management and the have come from a logistics back ground! Always wanting blood from staff when ACCIDENTS happened. Apparently giving a work life balance! Changing shift with hours to go and emailing and texting manager at all hours with requests. Other managers not caring and getting away with the bare minimum! Half of the time some managers would be nowhere to be seen for shift on end. No budget control and only clamped down when they knew it was gonna come back on then! Administration and resource staff being unqualified and really not up for the job with a sneaky, eaves dropping, lying attitude and go get me started with the higher managers. Can't comment on other departments but as the department known as gateway to the airport is ran so poorly who knows...
