I worked at Manchester Airports Group for more than 10 years

    Pros

There is absolutely nothing positive to say.

    Cons

Diabolical management. In fact the management are just money leaching airheads. With absolutely NO regard for the security of anyone but themselves. Picked for the role because they 'fit' the managements expectations to 'rule' rather than lead, it is little wonder that opinions of this awful excuse of a company are dire. Overworking staff like they are robots with no care of wellbeing or Health and Safety. No support structure what so ever in place for career progression. In fact you are TOLD to use your spare time if you want to just shadow someone. Disgusting. MAG is very much like an aggressive cancer.

I worked at Manchester Airports Group for less than a year

    Pros

The only pro you will find no matter how far you search is SOME of the people and the fact you are offered an exit interview to list the disgraceful way this company treats its staff

    Cons

Words actually fail me ! Billet points below should give a snap shot of working for MAG . Ignored bullying culture . Hours diabolical . No empathy from managers even when there is a death of close family member . Pay so complicated you will never be able to challenge it , even payroll think it's a joke . .wait 2 months for P45 .HR have no clue what they are doing .Be prepared to be broke for the first 3 months of employment , you will work a MONTH in arrears .You will receive nothing at the end of 1st month ,2 weeks pay end of month 2 and 3 weeks pay end of third month so be prepared as people were having to go onto debt management plans as they could not pay rent, mortgage and bills for 3 months , which actually is ironic as you are financially checked previous to working for them . . Uniform is awful , nothing fits anyone and people resort to buying their own then get "sanctioned for not wearing official uniform " .Dont expect to pass probation , if you haven't left within 3 months you will be targeted by team leaders to make sure you fail , this could be by being taken off of x ray without them showing you proof so you can't gain experience and therefore fail probation , or you will be told to do something that you have had absolutely NO training on and again you will fail . . This place is managed by power over approach they have no idea how to treat staff , and they disable staff so much that the staff start to behave like naughty children , these include grown adults 40+ . . Do not give up a secure job to come here you will bitterly regret it and do not listen to the lies they tell you in interview , stansted have flooded the local area for staff , no one locally will work for MAG as their reputation proceeds them , they are recruiting as far as south London and again promising the earth but only offering 4 hour shifts that cost more in time and money to get to work than you will earn . . You have access to duty free but Alcohol and Tobacco are prohibited to buy . No discount in duty free and many other outlets . Staff parking , you will be lucky to ever make the car park close to the terminal and so 1 hour before your shift you need to be parked and waiting for the bus , this is a 2 way thing so expect to get to your car 45mins after your shift ends and don't expect team leaders to understand they forget what it's like to do the staff bus routine , if your not on your lane on the hour you will be carded even if it's 2MINS over . I could go on and on about how disgusting this company is please listen , I read reviews and ignored them thinking that it can't be THAT bad but trust me it really is !!

I have been working at Manchester Airports Group

    Pros

Paid breaks: One 15 min break every 2 hours or so. up to hour meal break on 10-12 hour shifts. paid shift allowance.

    Cons

works like a 0-hour contract and not a lot of notice to what shift you may be working.
