Pros
Was given work that was actually meaningful, the team made me feel valued and appreciated, and very laid back team! There was a lot to learn, but the team was always very helpful.
Cons
I bit unorganized at times, which happens when there are a lot of moving pieces.

Pros
The culture is great, very laid back. The President is very hands-on and truly cares about his employees though sometimes it doesn't show the best at all levels. Management does try to promote from within. Lots of passion behind what is attempting to be accomplished. Good family/work balance. Great group of people to work with. Awesome healthcare benefits.
Cons
Company is experiencing growing pains, but attempting to make things better. Limited resources due to family ownership can make planning and growing a challenge at times. No 401k plan. Pay is not very competitive, but HR is working to improve this. Lack of direction from management for career growth/path. Limited management positions available.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Mandli Communications full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The freedom and laid back work environment make Mandli a great place to work. It is almost like working at one of the high tech companies on the west coast despite being a family owned company. Enjoy my work associates, I feel valued and enjoy my work. Innovative technology.
Cons
Somewhat limited opportunities for advancement and no clear progression planning. Would like to see more emphasis on what is important.

Pros
Laid Back, Flex hours. Able to listen to pod casts or music all day. Incredibly easy, mindless work. Good health care for single persons
Cons
Antisocial work environment. Data Factory. No raises or 401k match ( Most comapnies give a small raise after a year , right? Not this place)

RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at Mandli Communications full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good experience in a privately owned technology company. The company fills a niche that not many others can so you get exposure to tech you can't find just anywhere. The experience looks good on my resume as someone who struggled with what they were going to do with a degree in Geography/GIS right out of college. Employees are friendly and hard-working. Company is growing and is well known within the industry. The work environment is pretty laid back and management is friendly and fair for the most part. You rarely have anyone breathing down your neck. Once you know the software, you can spend a whole day processing and listening to music or pod casts without much interruption. The company is open and responsive to suggestions on ways to improve things.
Cons
You really have to stand out to advance and the entry level pay isn't great. I started at $13/hour and eventually made $14/hour. I took on some extra responsibilities, showed initiative and eventually got that raise but others seem stuck. The only levels of employment are the entry level Data Processor (DP), then Data Specialist (DS), Project Manager (PM) and then Director level. There is no well-defined path to advancement. Promotions to DS or PM don't seem to happen that often and when they do they go to people that have been in the company for a while. Depending on what you're doing, the work can be repetitive and a little There are regular issues with software and IT infrastructure which can be frustrating. Most software is proprietary so it is always being updated and can be buggy.
