    When you know that you are laying off people because you're moving the flooring to Georgia without relocation don't hire new people! Treat your employees with respect.

    with acquisition of numerous smaller flooring companies company has consolidated jobs , layoffs, creating stressful and overworked employees

    Pros

    Good pay. Good environment. The management cares about there workers. They were very understanding when you needed days off and also bought the whole team lunch here and there.

    Cons

    Scheduling was annoying. You couldn’t make any plans because you would not know when they were going to schedule you.

    Advice to Management

    Work on getting the scheduling fixed.

    I worked at Mannington Mills full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Rapidly growing company, great people for the most part, good benefits and competitive pay. Great place to learn since you do a little bit of everything as a Process Engineer; it definitely moved my career forward.

    Cons

    Stress, stress, and more stress. Working 11 days in a row to cover weekends. I don't feel like they actually value their employees. Open office plan. Trying to fix quality issues by tightening specifications without addressing the process issues then asking why scrap has increased.

    Advice to Management

    Try to be great at one thing at a time. Everything all at once is not working. Focus on growth and set quality expectations that are based on equipment capabilities or upgrade the equipment to make quality specs. Make people feel like you want them to work there; there is a reason you have never had a finishing engineer make it 2 years.

    Pros

    Mannington is a good work place because you are able to grow with the company.The company is a respectful places,they offers many different opportunity's .

    Cons

    The worst thing about this company is working 12 hours and mostly holidays.Also having to put vacation time in 3 weeks ahead is kind of not fair .

    Advice to Management

    Better there work hours with there employee when can.And to understand vacation should not be under time.

    Horrible company with no transparency and clarity on professional advancement. Highly biased and a lack of diversity in upper managerial roles. There's no regard for accomplishments, talent, and education. You can work hard and if upper management doesn't like you for petty reasons, you'll never advance or get fair compensation. Run don't walk from this company.

    Pros

    Managers never log salaried employees time off in SAP so you can have endless vacation.

    Cons

    This is the company where terrible employees can advance to management simply by sucking up. Company runs on the flavor of the day and it shows since it is floundering. Everyone that is there is only there because they can't hack it in a real company.

    Advice to Management

    Start looking at your management team for head chopping rather than the workers who actually care. Your managers are the most corrupt in there.
