The company like any company going through a period of rapid growth is making sure solutions are scalable and applicable. This can sometimes lead to some growing pains.

I have been working at Mansfield Oil full-time

    Pros

Good people, fairly reasonable management. Easy to get in due to high turnover rate and it looks good on your resume because the company is among top fuel suppliers in the country

    Cons

Not the worst place to work at. Workload is often overwhelming and the salary doesn't justify it. High turnover rate. Work/llife balance is not very good either as you have to be on the call at all times

I worked at Mansfield Oil full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to learn about fuel distribution business.

    Cons

-An environment that becomes unworkable pretty fast due to minimal training, intense workload and high expectations. This leads to an extremely high employee turnover rate.
-An uneasy workplace where most people are scared of losing their jobs, so one little screw up and you better start polishing your resume.
-Backstabbing becomes a learned art. It's critical to surviving in any hostile environment (like this one).
-No career advancement. If you're not hooked in with the right people your situation becomes hopeless
    -This place wreaks of nepotism

    Advice to Management

Mansfield Oil has potential but mid/upper management mentality has to change. Stop running this place like a sweatshop. Your workers are your greatest asset, treat them with respect and dignity. Everyone must adhere to your core principles, they should not be cool sounding buzzwords.

    Pros

There are a few good people in a big bunch of evil back stabbers.

    Cons

There's nothing more annoying for an experienced employee than to be micromanaged. Therefore workers are forced to simply use the boss to help you win. Employees that are more educated and experienced than the manager must play dumb and only demonstrate you know enough to not get fired. The manager undermines, demotivates and creates self doubt in employees.

    Advice to Management

The more experienced the manager is, the calmer she is because she’ll have seen similar situations before and know what to do.
When managers are under-performing at their own jobs, they tend to ratchet up the micromanaging. Beware.
There may be more lawsuits in your future.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Mansfield Oil full-time

    Pros

The owner of the company is not as arrogant and unapproachable as most of the VP's and managers.

    Cons

-Impossible task of doing a job without training or time to learn new skills.

-Work is never good enough for the boss.

-Manager is arbitrary and capricious, working a PERSONAL AGENDA that undermines employee's legitimate business interests.

-Employees constantly feeling agitated and anxious, experiencing a sense of doom, waiting for bad things to happen.

-One of the most disturbing aspects is the workplace structure is one that has no structure, integrity, confidentiality, honesty or diversity.

-There was no one to talk to and say “I’m drowning!”

    -Painful experience!

-Unlucky enough to work for an incompetent manager who has no business running a department.

-Friends and family can get leadership positions without merit.

-Rub elbows with the right people you can move up the corporate ladder.

    Advice to Management

Silence about race removes the opportunity for people to learn about diversity.
A diverse body of talent with fresh ideas and perspectives is one of the essential ingredients to a company's long-term success.

    Cons

    Frequent employee turnover.
Departments/Divisions are separate and not cohesive.
    Communication is all top down.

    Advice to Management

Message should be delivered from within and should be communicated throughout.
