I have been working at Mansfield Oil full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Friendly colleagues. Challenging work. Mansfield puts a lot of effort into community efforts. They're a huge contributors to many local fundraisers.

    Cons

Unqualified management and old school mentality in many cases. Sometimes I believe Mansfield puts more effort into external things than their employees.

I worked at Mansfield Oil full-time

    Pros

It's a shame that I struggle to find pros about a company that I once loved working for. There are a lot of great people who work there.

    Cons

Company runs too lean and employees are overworked. Expressing that you need help or cannot take on additional responsibilities is ignored. Management takes many shortcuts which almost always result in failure.

    Advice to Management

Quit ignoring employee dissatisfaction, complaints, and concerns. Increase pay to hire better talent for back office and operational roles so they are executed correctly. Account managers and sales reps spend too much time correcting others' mistakes and defending company errors, making it incredibly difficult to positively and proactively foster customer relationships.

I worked at Mansfield Oil (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the co-workers are friendly and helpful.

    Cons

They use and abuse you. They are so nice and considerate when you are the only one who could do it. But as soon as they are done with you, they do not leave you any option to stay. They say we love to have you but their action says something else. They give you all the responsibilities for the position promised but do not change your title for over a year. They keep telling you that you are getting paid too much when they are paying you under the average salary for the position you have. They make you drive 60 miles one way when you could perfectly work from home just like many other employees in the company. Very racist and sexist for sure. They promote their family members easily but when it's your time..... I thought I could grow in the company but everything changed as soon as their big project was taking care of and I saved them lots of time and money. BTW I had no real holidays, weekends or after work hours as I had work to do. The daily work had to be done even on weekends and holidays with no extra pay or bonus. This is terrible that you have to get up early morning every day to do daily duties no matter what.

    Advice to Management

Please do not let your good managers leave. None of the great managers stay there more than two years. Why is that????!!!!?!?

    Pros

good people around you who care

    Cons

mansfield is a good company, but they are behind budget and choose to resolve this issue by phased cuts in employees. there's a lack of appreciation for many employees. they have trouble with turnover and are unable to foster ambitious and sharp employees successfully. compensation is not flexible and you will see that the only people making a good earning at the company are the c-suite executives or sales representatives sitting on large accounts.

    Advice to Management

listen to your employees, and change the 401k plan. Help the company culture change so that people are efficient. there's this company stigma that you are not a hard worker unless you work 40+ hours, even if you're sitting there doing nothing. focus on a way to reward an employee for efficient work and look at the level of happiness in your office (not to be confused with a level of complacency)
