Pros
New leadership changes make sense and bring more clarity to the enterprise software vision and market positioning. Matt Mills has brought his Oracle experience but not the legendary Oracle nastiness we were all so fearful of. MapR is no longer a start up and the transition to a more structured organization can be painful, however, MapR is handling it well. All the bumps in the road are normal and the overall goal is clear. Really bright, hardworking people in all departments.
Cons
The new leadership changes have resulted in attrition and we have lostttrition and we have lostttrition and we have lost some terrific people. With more people working remotely there is a big need for better internal communication tools. We are all drowning in email! Benefits should be more generous and include additional valley perks.

Pros
Smart people work here; real product differentiators over competition; great retention rate and expansion rate of existing customers
Cons
Marketing/messaging is too technical and not integrated enough into sales process (although this is improving); hired a lot of reps with application sales background (not infrastructure) under last CEO and they seem to struggle but this is also being corrected.
