    Pros

Pros to work here would only be to get a paycheck till you till you found someplace where you are appreciated and not treated badly. It is all great for awhile not long term.

    Cons

Challenges would be working for the management in the front office. They may be nice to you but you should watch your back. They may act like your best friend but deep down they will turn on you and you will not know what hit you. I see this day to day as I am here. It is even worse now that they got purchased by Grupo Bimbo. No longer a Canadian Company. When it was Maple Leaf it was a good company. I am seeing they are getting rid of people that have been here 7 years and up.

    Advice to Management

    Treat people with respect.

    Cons

    No advancement structure.
Often you are left out of the loop on what is going to happen within your team, and the company, until it has happened.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be some lateral movement is not promotional

I have been working at Maple Leaf Foods full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good team, professionals, equal opportunity employer. Tremendous scope for personal and professional development. Fact based work culture. Great place to learn and grow.

    Cons

Sometimes based on the job level your voice and opinion is not always considered. That happens very few times and is based on person. Not across the company. May need more opportunities to get trained and learn to grow within the company.

    Advice to Management

Nothing in partucular. It is already listening and trying to improve employee experiences at various levels.
