I have been working at Maple Leaf Foods full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job is not so stressful. Safety is always first.

    Cons

Mentally your gonna be stressed due to some mind gaming people. Favoritism is in sffect on some shifts.

    Advice to Management

Monitor the attitude of your supervisors in your facilities. Give the small workers their right to speak by giving them the chance to rate the performance of supervisors so that these people won't try to abuse them but instead treat them right to avoid workplace politic due to racism and favoritism.

    Pros

great people in my particular team, not so in other departments where that is hit and miss. People can be very competitive and condescending.

    Cons

Cooperation between departments limited, everyone out for themselves. There is a "it's not my job" mentality on some teams instead of everyone pitching in. Too many processes to allow anyone to be agile.
