    Pros

The office is good, the company feed you with money for the one who is concerned.

    Cons

Management is authoritarian, arrogance, political, result oriented, shouting is a common attitude, keep changing his mind constantly as usual. Staff requires to work long hours, promotion only for singles or who less commitment to family and dedicate most of their time for work, pressure from top to down, unhealthy environment, you may develop selfish manner if you work too long with Mapletree, inefficient due... to your boss keeps changing his mind to keep the creative figures.

    Pros

The only pro is the good bonus which includes a retention bonus as well. But the high turnover rate explains about the workplace.

    Cons

    1. There is no interaction between the senior management and the team members . 2. Instructions are only passed down by the middle management (VP, SM level). Very often, directions are conveyed inaccurately due to wrong interpretation by the middle management. To make things worse, the middle management is not receptive to feedback despite all the facts were presented. 3. The culture is top down whereby the... middle management often threaten subordinates with the senior management for us to comply with no questions raised. 3. There is no work recognition. The senior manager claims all the credits and only cares about her own KPI, at the expense of the sabotaging and overloading with unethical practices and unproductive work that affect team morale. 4. No work life balance. The senior manager will take her own time to check your work and inform you to make last minute changes just before the deadline, often resulting the team to work at night or on weekend.

    Advice to Management

    1. The senior management should look into strengthening the checks and balances on the middle management (VP, SM level). 2. Create a work environment to value feedback and not just placating. With everyone’s input, this will help improve processes and ensure upholding of ethical practices in the long run.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Mapletree Investments full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Stable company, good learning opportunities and good office environment

    Cons

A lot of office politics where fellow colleagues would over step boundaries. Lack of trust for employees is shown from recruitment to exit process i.e Pls retain all originals of your MCs including those taken for family care leave as these would be audited when you leave and deducted from your payroll if any single slips are missing. Details such as your parents & parents in laws names, IC number, DOB would need... to be provided to validate that family care leave only applies to them.

    Advice to Management

Senior management to empower individuals according to their job function and role and this would then encourage the top management to empower middle management.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Mapletree Investments full-time

    Pros

Same Pros as mentioned by the rest. Workload = Money.

    Cons

Lacking of credibility. Capable of clawing back things without honoring what was being conveyed initially due to internal mistakes. The existence of biasness with preconceived judgement adopted by certain level of people that has authority. Office politics depending on dept with a demoralizing environment to work at for the non-appreciative people. If it’s not about the wrong hire of recent new management, people... would not be complaining behind.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Mapletree Investments full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good company. Stable and fast growing. Highly structured and organised. Attractive compensation.

    Cons

Need to have a more efficient and effective way to streamline workload so that staff can have better work life harmony. May tend to have long working hours.

    Advice to Management

It would be great if management could take in the feedback of employees and show that work is in progress. Employees’ perception of any real change still has lots of rooms for improvement.

    Cons

Bad working environment especially with no good leadership's boss and once you have made minor mistake they will forever take you down no matter how hard you been working to be cautious.
