    Chronically understaffed

    Pros

They do have a good benefits package and that's basically why I'm giving them 2 stars and not one. That and thr fact that they do have a few good nurses who care.

    Cons

They are constantly understaffed and they don't pay enough. They claim to be assisted living so they don't have to pay skilled nursing aid rates. But they have patients who are total care including Hoyer lifts. There were days when I was the only one on the floor with close to 30 patients. If they truly were assisted living that might not be a problem. But these were dementia patients who required a lot of care. Many of them were combative. There were 2 complete change overs in management in the 6 months I worked there. That doesn't include the interim management in between. They always came in with oh we're going to make changes and things will be better. But the fact is that they don't pay enough to keep good help. I tried to tell someone in upper management that and she didn't have time to talk to me. Oh, and they supposedly have behavior logs that you're supposed to fill out but in 6 months I could never get anyone to tell me where they are or fill them out for me when there was an issue. They teach the Alzheimers Association way of dealing with residents but don't give you the tools/ staffing levels to carry it out.

    Don't waste your time!

    Pros

    People were friendly at first.

    Cons

The place is a nightmare. The long-term nurses on days shift have to tell Administrator how to do his job cuz he isn't knowledgeable. Bug on the other hand the long-term nurses run off the new staff by bullying them & acting like they are God. Not a problem! There are many places out there to work. These people jave these nursing facilities in states where they have no idea of what really goes on cuz they are in.Nother state. The medical field is shameful because of this type of facility & their so-called "good" employees that the Administrator allows to bully newly employed nurses. Understaffed. 1 nurse on night shift & she was a c_ _ _!

    Disappointing Leadership

    Pros

Wonderful residents and families, holiday bonuses

    Cons

This company demands so much and provides so little support. Salaried employees expected to work seven days per week, every week. They place demands on you even while on PTO. Calls all day and all night long. Executive leadership is extremely poor at responding to local concerns. Very minimal training and support. They look like a beautiful community but the care they provide is unbelievably sub-standard. LPNs working unapproved overtime out-earn the DON and all other leadership staff. RSAs refuse to provide consistent care and call off repeatedly but leadership does not enforce their own attendance policies. Frequent call offs and below-industry pay prevents them from retaining and hiring quality staff. Resident care suffers greatly here. Leadership is unprofessional on conference calls. HR does not follow labor laws or return calls in a timely manner. Residents are not safe here.
