I have been working at Maponics full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

*Fantastic coworkers - smart, considerate, hard-working
    *Very interesting work
    *Flexible scheduling and good benefits

    Cons

I can only think of two "cons," and both of these will likely go away next yearsince we were just acquired by Pitney Bowes in July 2016.
    *Salaries on lower side
*Advancement can be tricky - opportunities can be limited in a small company

  2. "Get a life, not a job. Maponics is a company where you'll love not only what you do, but who you do it with."

I have been working at Maponics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There isn't enough space here to cover all the great aspects about this company! Company culture creates a professional yet fun workplace experience. Employees are given clear expectations and are provided the freedom and support to crush it. At Maponics, your career is only limited by your imagination - Maponics will support whatever development needs you have. Pay and benefit plans are competitive and were clearly created with an attention to what really matters in employee's lives. Our work/llfe balance is not only encouraged but expected. Employees are respectful professionals, there are no jerks! This company genuinely cares about their employees and as long as expectations are met, the sky is the limit! We manage our own lives while growing an incredible business, its hard to call that a job. It's a passion. One that will get you out of bed in the morning excited to start your day!

    Cons

The only con about Maponics is that its not yet a household name. You have to be here to truly appreciate it. This is a hidden gem in the Upper Valley - glad I found it, and will be here when we are internationally known as the leading provider of spatial data.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. It's clear you genuinely care about your employees and the success of the business. Being transparent, and setting clear goals and milestones is extremely valuable.

    Pros

-People are generally flexible based on your interests
-very casual atmosphere, everyone is very nice
-this type of work is easy to take home if you need to work away from the office for some reason

    Cons

-there are some tricky dynamics between management and employees
-while I didn't experience any issues with supervisors, some employees complained of disconnect in management and inflexibility

    Advice to Management

Maybe try to be a little more in tune with the lower down employees. That being said, lower employees ought to be clearer about any issues they are having.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

smart bunch, nice offices, the underlings are a great group of people, reasonably fair with fitting life into work and vice versa

    Cons

disjointed management, left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, absurd expectations, zero direction and communication, no support to succeed, dramtically inflated view of their value proposition, turnover in the sales team exceeding 200%/yr, Senior mgt sets goals but has absolutely no idea how to achieve them..

    Advice to Management

identify a real value adding partner to deliver a meaningful product/service OR liquidate the assets of the company before it is too late... this ship is going down..
