Great pay and employees, not so great management
Dec 4, 2020 - Line Worker in Mountain Home, IDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good pay, great employees, fast pace, opportunity for promotion, family oriented within lower level employees (And some management)
Cons
Attendance policy and vacation time. HR department is more for protecting company rather than their employees. Lack and refusal of management communication between shifts and departments.

Nov 17, 2020 - Line Worker in Mountain Home, IDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great place to practice manual dexterity Pay is above what you would expect in Idaho Plenty of overtime if that's what you want.
Cons
You don't get a choice about previously mentioned overtime sometimes The workpace can pick up rapidly and suddenly The sped up workpace can put major strain on the body and mind.

Miserable Job But Someone's Gotta' Do it
Nov 15, 2020 - Line Worker in Mountain Home, IDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The salary was better than anywhere else around. Lots of opportunities for overtime. Health Insurance and other benefits as a full-time employee were decent. Although the work is repetitive, employees do switch positions every 30 minutes on the line. The human resources guy was very helpful and had a great attitude.
Cons
Not very flexible. This is definitely a Fred Flinstone "punch the clock" until the bell rings type of job. You will never get sent home early. Working one to two (or even more) Saturdays per month can sometimes be required. The work environment is very loud so it's difficult to hear fellow employees over the machines. The workspace is designed for the product--not the people. So, it can be very, very hard on your body in some cases causing permanent damage. The learning curve can be a challenge on some of the lines. Some of the supervisors aren't particularly friendly or approachable. It is almost impossible to "socially distance" at this job for a number of reasons. The main reason is that you have to be within earshot to hear your fellow employees. In some cases, you have to be speaking almost directly in their ear. The repetitive nature of the job can be incredibly boring at times depending on what line you are working on.
