I worked at Marathon Oil as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Many employees with diverse backgrounds were always willing to help with complicated technical assignments.

    Cons

Many meetings per week on topics that were not necessarily pertinent to the asset or job task assigned. I understand the need for continued education, but there seemed to an over indulgence and expectation of employees to attend these meetings/presentations.

    Advice to Management

Cut down on unnecessary meetings and focus on tasks that directly relate to productivity and company returns.
