    Don’t Say I Didn’t Warn You

    Oct 31, 2022 - Petroleum Engineer
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

You get a $3 food voucher every day as of when I last worked in Houston. You don’t have to make any decisions yourself because your micromanaging boss will make them for you. Work/life balance is pretty good because you don’t have much responsibility.

    Cons

Extensive layers of management that make every day feel like Office Space. Minimal career advancement. Sub-standard total compensation. Inability to make decisions and complete lack of opportunity to advance.

Some managers show nepotism and attitude of no care policy towards talented resources causing good people to leave the company. No single promotion in the company for almost 10 years in service despite getting good rewards and acknowledgement.

Great people and culture, base salary lagging

    Aug 1, 2022 - Landman
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

One of the best things about MRO was the people, and the “one team” philosophy. I always felt like we were all pulling in the same direction and took pride in the work of the company. Also, lots of opportunities to interact with (and maybe even move into) different roles within the company.

    Cons

Lagging behind in base salary and seemed unwilling to make adjustments, even for well ranked employees.
