    Pros

great company culture. much room for professional advancement. good competitive pay (based on other leading competitors) and absolute best benefits.

    Cons

the industry is the "evil oil industry" and the locations are not always the best (findlay, oh is in the middle of nowhere)

    Advice to Management

they all do a great job, but sometimes i feel like they focus too much on formalities (and unnecessary paperwork)

    Pros

People were awesome, very approachable. The work wasn't too bad, and someone always there to help if you ran into trouble. plenty of other interns so easy to make friends.

    Cons

i was in the engineering department as an accountant. so i felt kinda left out, and there was a huge pay differential. however, they worked harder. as the accounting intern i didn't do much real work, basic knowledge of excel put me leaps and bounds beyond the rest of my department which made all work they handed to me pretty easy. however, the engineers seemed pretty busy.

    Advice to Management

please give me more work. i feel bad sitting in the office doing nothing or perusing the internet. i don't want to work for a company where i don't do anything all day.

I have been working at Marathon Petroleum full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Marathon offers amazing benefits to its employees. Marathon deeply values the safety of its employees and the relationship with the community. Marathon hires a lot of young people and I have made a ton of friends within the company. Finally, Marathon values career development, and its rare to be in the same position for more than 5 years. There's always an opportunity to learn something new within the company.

    Cons

The biggest con of working at MPC is the corporate location, Findlay, OH. It's somewhat of a tough transition coming from a larger city, but luckily, Marathon and Findlay have a lot of young people to keep me busy! Also, I travel quite a bit for my job so I find it hard to develop a routine at home.
