I have been working at Marcone Appliance Parts full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

So many good people in the company, good work-life balance and good products. Marcone VP's and upper management try to keep up employee morale by having offsite employee events in addition to office events.

    Cons

Some people are in positions of authority that shouldn't be.

    Advice to Management

Hire the best person for the job. Don't promote because they have a piece of paper or they have been here so long. Promote because they know their job and perform superbly.

    Pros

Marcone is a leader in the industry and always looking to expand.
Benefits are received after 90 days.
    Opportunity for growth.
Salary and bonuses are given based on performance.

    Cons

Vacation time - You only receive 2 weeks after one year of employment and don't receive an additional week until the beginning of year 8.

    Advice to Management

    Reevaluate the vacation policy

    Pros

Realxed atmosphere. Not a great deal of supervision. Good people at the lower - mid level of the company.

    Cons

Horrible communication. Poor decision-making at the management level. No real potential to increase your base salary. Once you start at a salary you are going to be at that salary for years.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people better by showing them that you appreciate what they do for you. In my short time here I have seen plenty of good people leave because they felt they were treated poorly.

    Pros

There is room for advancement but it's more about who you know than what you know.

    Cons

Very high turnover rate. They have terrible management and very unorganized. Management doesn't listen to employees and you have to fight for pay raises. They don't reward employees for meeting or surpassing goals.

    Pros

They send you bs mugs and t-shirts lol
blah, blah, blah, blah (glassdoor made me fill up the space)

    Cons

Management always plays favoritism. They lay you off with no severance pay after years of loyalty to them. The company has no real future

    Advice to Management

Be careful who you decide to let go... Good employees can't be replaced 😆

I worked at Marcone Appliance Parts full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Outside of the call center, the pay can be somewhat competitive and bonuses are more reliable. But getting there is based solely on good timing and being liked by the right people.

    Cons

Marcone has no loyalty towards their employees. They see everyone as expendable. There is no job security and a severe lack of culture and morals within the company.

    Advice to Management

I doubt the execs will ever change their ways.

    Pros

At one time there was great diversity in the work force. In the last few months they have new people in lower management making negative decisions. It was a good company to work for but it has drastically changed.

    Cons

Multiple massive layoffs and bonuses suspended

    Advice to Management

Need to make the company profitable again and address turnovers and massive lay offs

I worked at Marcone Appliance Parts (More than a year)

    Pros

There aren't many.Health insurance is for full time employees. Paid vacation is available but takes away from your bonus.

    Cons

Poor management has driven this company into the ground. Management is morally deficient and lacks ethics. There is no job security. Huge numbers of employees have been laid off. Management does not keep there promises and did not listen to employees concerns. Employees worked on a commissioned base program but prices were so high compared to competitors that customers would sometimes laugh out loud, yell at you or hang up on you as soon as you quoted cost.

    Advice to Management

stop patting yourselves on the back like you are some big deal. You are not a success if you have to lay off employees to make payroll. Get competitive with pricing. You sell appliance parts not Lamborghini. You are selling the same appliance parts as thousands of competitors. People do shop by price. You must get in line with internet and local pricing. Most importantly learn how to treat your employees or close your doors now because you will fail.
