    Pros

MMC is a good shop to advance your career. The management, on account teams and creative, are invested in their people's growth.

    Cons

That said, there were still some politics when it came to upward mobility. Promotions take time.

I worked at Marina Maher Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free products, usually left over food.

    Cons

Extremely catty and cliquey senior management will talk behind your back without directly coming to you with issues first. Senior staff is Extremely judgemental of everything you do. It seems that you can't do anything right in their eyes.

I worked at Marina Maher Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free products and free food.

    Cons

Your work ethic and experience don't mean anything. Zero room for growth. The only way you will fit in or be accepted is if you're a rich white girl that's looking for a post-college sorority. Tons of pointless meetings. Expect to do your managers work at all times. No one owns up to their mistakes, instead they point fingers to mid and jr. staff members. Zero team/group effort. If your too busy [working] to show up to a work related social event, it will be thrown in your face and you will be labeled as unsocial or unapproachable. Expect to work on your vacation and personal time off. To top it off, your supervisor and other departments will review and edit every single email you draft because there's a power struggle internally that no one addresses.

    Advice to Management

Grow up and act like supervisors. Stop being so caddy and petty- it's pretty disgusting and unprofessional.

    Pros

    Good holiday parties, big accounts

    Cons

Very sorority type environment, while this may seem nice for a college, it is not an ideal environment to start a career. Managers are rude, and do not give you the time of day.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees, and don't make younger employees your servants.

    Pros

Although I have worked at some fantastic agencies in the past, none compare to MMC! The agency has wonderfully strong leadership and some of the smartest people I've ever worked with. From its sustainable practices to MMC4AC (MMC 4 a Cause), MMC is a socially responsible and socially caring organization. The company does a terrific job supporting the growth of its employees through mentoring experiences, professional development, and training classes. It has a warm and inclusive culture and is a wonderful place to work.

    Cons

Expectations are high...but that's really a pro (not a con).

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! You've built a strong, smart company, and I'm excited to be a part of it.

I worked at Marina Maher Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Some of the people who work here are genuinely nice, smart and creative
    - Opportunity to work with a lot of interesting brands
    - The compensation is competitive
    - Marina is really nice and seems to genuinely care about her employees and the future of the agency (though that's where things seem to stop)

    Cons

    - A lot of the people who work here are negative and unkind
    - It feels like a club and either you're in or you're out
    - The office space is small and cramped and dirty
    - Senior leadership is out of touch and they don't realize what's happening around then
    - Positions stay open for months; very difficult to recruit talent
    - Archaic thinking and practices has led to a mass exodus of clients which has led to layoffs
    - Preach work life balance but it doesn't exist at all

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach and treat everyone equally
