I have been working at Mark's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours & simple leadership role.

    Cons

Pay, teenie tiny raises, upper management, you aren't allowed to enforce the policies the store has or you will be reprimanded, customers or always right even with a receipt or no receipt of a purchase 100+ days ago.

    Pros

Flexible hours, great team, very structured with well established guidelines and a great super chill boss! Easy job if your good at customer service

    Cons

I don’t think there’s any bad as long as you understand that everyone is different, in the sense that your strength my be different then a coworker, same as every other job!

I worked at Mark's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent discount on clothing for yourself, friends, and family (40% with a maximum spending limit) Depending on the store and management, very flexible hours.

    Cons

pay is absolutely abysmal (even lower management make barely a few dollars over minimum wage) no employee incentives (no bonuses, 25 cent raises once a year) corporate doesn't care about you or your well being no health insurance for part timers (unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for very basic coverage) no room for growth

I have been working at Mark's part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible hours. Diverse clientele. Awesome staff discount.

    Cons

Raises are rare, bonuses are unattainable and only for salary employees. Return policy is frustrating and very inconsistent. Corporate will have the customers back before their employees in every situation, even if you were verbally abused and called down by said customer.

    I worked at Mark's

    Pros

    - Fun people to work with (depends on store). - Flexible hours (depending on position). - Good job if you are a retiree or teenager. - Products/brand USED to be high quality and recognizable.

    Cons

    - Terrible pay (all positions). - Bonus structure for only management. - Corporate does not stand behind staff. Any customer complaints and the staff are thrown under the bus. - Management above store level completely cut off from staff. Only Store Managers are allowed to contact anyone higher. - HR is quick to find loopholes to not help staff. Any complaints about staff will just be passed back down the chain until it gets to Store Manager. - HR does not follow privacy policy. Any complaints or issues are passed down to District and Store management. - Store Management is paid salary based on a certain work week but are expected to work above and beyond for free.
