I have been working at Market Track full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great managers who take the time to listen to you
    - Intelligent co-workers
    - Transparent management, there are frequent check-ins and they are clear on what their expectations are of you
    - Adequate training
    - Work load can be heavy or light depending on how dependable you are. There's always something to be done and I've never really had any "slow" days
    - Compatible with being a part-time student - there are many people earning a second degree here and the company is extremely patient with them in terms of scheduling and working from home. this company seems to want its employee to constantly improve themselves
    - Emphasis on efficiency and improving processes. I've worked a many companies that do not value this as much as MT and it's very frustrating to feel like you aren't in control of what you're working with. The development team is very cooperative with people on making feature request or taking recommendations on making our software better.
    - Location at the Willis Tower is extremely convenient for Metra and El riders

    Cons

    - Okay work/life balance. Depending on how reliable you are, you may have dozens of people asking you little to big questions throughout the day. It's hard to simply leave work at work.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growing your existing employees and integrating new software.

I have been working at Market Track full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of talented and exceptional people who work here. But you would never know it because unless you are "in" with the right people, you will never advance. Favoritism, rather than ability or merit, is how sales is run.

    Cons

Lack of focus and accountability in sales leadership, as well as a lack of overall sales leadership experience, definitely shows in decision making here.

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending there isn't a problem and understand why we keep losing talent. Focus more on retention and you won't be as far behind in recruiting.

I have been working at Market Track full-time

    Pros

Hard working, dedicated people in the support areas of the company.

    Cons

This used to be a very results focused organization when I first joined. Unfortunately with the new, inexperienced leadership at the c-level there has been a fairly fast departure from driving results and outcomes. The result is poor morale and a deteriorating environment that fosters distrust and complacency. There is a lot of talk about transparency, but getting a direct answer that is truthful is virtually impossible. In addition, we have lost the majority of long-standing leadership across nearly every functional area due to the lack of focus at the top. It is extremely hard to motivate people and the environment is toxic.

    Advice to Management

Bring in people to run sales that know sales and how to manage.

    Communication is a bit lacking.

I have been working at Market Track full-time

    Pros

They have lots of different types of products in the advertising industry. Employees care about the direction and growth. Lots of people in many different divisions through their acquisitions

    Cons

They need a strong technology leader to take the company to the next level. No current CTO. Needs to integrate all of the acquisitions they have done.

    Advice to Management

Get a strong CTO to get all of the different products on one platform. I feel the company is hitting the limit on what people can do and Management needs to turn to software.

    Pros

Flexible hours, great location, new and emerging technology, benefits

    Cons

Still maintains a "start-up" mentality, not a good environment for a first time job as no direction or mentorship offered, you either sink or swim with little guidance.
