I have been working at Market Track full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great managers who take the time to listen to you
    - Intelligent co-workers
    - Transparent management, there are frequent check-ins and they are clear on what their expectations are of you
    - Adequate training
    - Work load can be heavy or light depending on how dependable you are. There's always something to be done and I've never really had any "slow" days
    - Compatible with being a part-time student - there are many people earning a second degree here and the company is extremely patient with them in terms of scheduling and working from home. this company seems to want its employee to constantly improve themselves
    - Emphasis on efficiency and improving processes. I've worked a many companies that do not value this as much as MT and it's very frustrating to feel like you aren't in control of what you're working with. The development team is very cooperative with people on making feature request or taking recommendations on making our software better.
    - Location at the Willis Tower is extremely convenient for Metra and El riders

    Cons

    - Okay work/life balance. Depending on how reliable you are, you may have dozens of people asking you little to big questions throughout the day. It's hard to simply leave work at work.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growing your existing employees and integrating new software.

I worked at Market Track full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Full benefits after 90 days. Paid holidays and 3 weeks paid vacation. Guaranteed hours and overtime. Flexible start times. No customer interaction. Can listen to music while working.

    Cons

The management fails to make the tough decisions. Some people can get away with stuff while others can’t do anything wrong. Low starting pay with no room for advancement. You will have no life around holidays and can’t use PTO from October to December. Weeks where there are holidays you will be working 10 hrs a day. There is always the threat of working Saturdays. Friday’s can be twelve hour days. How long your days are can depend if your coworkers are working or slacking off because all the work has to be done on Friday’s or you come back Saturday. The employees all tell on each other but management fails to address the real issues. You will have low raises at the end of the year.

I have been working at Market Track full-time

    Pros

They have lots of different types of products in the advertising industry. Employees care about the direction and growth. Lots of people in many different divisions through their acquisitions

    Cons

They need a strong technology leader to take the company to the next level. No current CTO. Needs to integrate all of the acquisitions they have done.

    Advice to Management

Get a strong CTO to get all of the different products on one platform. I feel the company is hitting the limit on what people can do and Management needs to turn to software.
