I worked at MarketSource part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Many events allow flexible scheduling Hourly rate is good for what the job entails

    Cons

Hours are limited. Corporate office does not support workers in field. If you're not located in a major city, you're unlikely to ever advance

    Advice to Management

I was with Marketsource for almost 8 years. For the first five, it was a really good place to work. (This is aimed at the corporate office) Go back to treating your employees like they're an important part of your team. When they point something out, listen to them. They're the ones that are in the stores, and they understand what's working and what isn't. Finally, if a store manager says something about one of... your employees and the employee can prove it's untrue, don't accept the word of the manager simply because you don't want to make them upset.

I worked at MarketSource full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule Work from home Great support staff at home office

    Cons

It's hard to review MarketSource as company because of the Third Party Labor (3PL ) aspect. Every 3PL contract is different. I worked on the HP one for years, which was great. The T-Mobile wireless contract, especially at Target Stores, seemed to be the most challenging. I believe that one is generating most of the negative reviews. At the end of the day you're at the mercy of the client. Better oversight on... internal MarketSource Area Managers was needed when I left.

"Unrealistic expectations and unnecessary mandatory overtime"

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at MarketSource full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, paid training, cell phone package

    Cons

Marketsource will lie and mislead their clients by telling their employees to portray something that is not true. Employees are paid hourly, but restricted on being paid for working off the clock. At times mandatory overtime is a real struggle. What began as a M-F 40 hour work week turned in to a mandatory 55 hour work week with weekends a must. Every month requirements were changed.
