I have been working at Marquardt Switches full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team work friendly environment, professional, and dedicated coworkers.

    Cons

Semi-remote location and senior management are in Germany = slightly disconnected from day-to-day operations.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees the recognition they deserve, it will motivate and increase length of stay. I never felt any appreciation from Management and if I had, I would still be working there.

I have been working at Marquardt Switches full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment, minimal drama, everyone's helpful and ready to lend a hand, regular luncheons, nice company gatherings, headed in the right direction.

    Cons

Long hours just to keep up with daily tasks, monotonous documentation/tracking systems take more time than completing the task at hand sometimes, in a growth phase resulting in people jumping-ship which causes delays while training new hires.

    Advice to Management

Continue working to make needed changes to foster growth, increase efficiency and hold more social events to boost morale.

    Pros

If you're looking for an employer that is equally concerned about business stability and employee relations, this is the place to be.

    Cons

Manufacturing environment. It can be fast paced, stressful and hard for some to handle. You have to be determined and ready to give it your best.

Continue to monitor workload of employees to ensure work load is distributed evenly throughout the different teams and ensure employees have a good balance of work/life.

    Pros

Many great co-workers, good physical environment, interesting engineering challenges.

    Cons

A very stressful place to work, due to both the nature of the primary customer, the automotive industry, and frequent bad decisions made by management. This result in a continuous state of emergency, requiring excessive overtime, late deliveries, a lot of stress. The number of times that charter plane deliveries were required to get the product to the customer astounded me.

Program managers need to better manage the customers for realistic expectations.
