I worked at Marriott International part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    flexibility
    included gratuity
    company benefits
    free food on breaks

    Cons

It was hard to move up. I guess this also a good thing because when people got into Marriott they didn't leave, so the upward movement was stalled to position availability.

I have been working at Marriott International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good culture, opportunities are abundant, decent salary and health benefits, people have a passion for travel. Leaders are usually top quality.

    Cons

Sales managers do 10.5 hours a day, company is very heavy on processes and SOP's. Remote positions are increasing but there is still a stigma around them from many seasoned leaders in the company.

    Advice to Management

Re evaluate work life balance, 10.5 hour days are things of the past. Too much research out there pointing toward what type of work weeks drive the highest efficiency.
