I worked at Marriott Vacations Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Great advancement opportunities, 401K (company match), health insurance and the opportunity to live in a number of cities across the country.

    Cons

No longer part of Marriott Hotels which limits movement across brands. Depending on departments you maybe working inconsistent schedules and pay may not be consistent with hours worked (salary), some departments you will work longer hours for equal pay.

    Advice to Management

Keep creating new processes and innovate on a property level. There seems to be a hesitation in changing status quo practices even when there is room for improvement.

    Pros

Good hours, decent pay, friendly associates.

    Cons

General Manager who is absolutely clueless. Corporate Food & Beverage is too hands on. They don't understand how to run the business properly. The GM cared more about his outlook with the corporate team then actually being involved in day to day matters in property. The general manager had no idea how to run a proper business and cared more about what other vacation clubs were doing. General manager would promote people internally into positions they had no business being qualified for.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the general manager and actually listen to associate feedback. Stop micromanaging.
