I have been working at Marsden full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you don't expect much from an employer other than pay. This company is for you.

If you have expectations of any kind. Keep looking.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your staff and you will invest in your future.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Marsden full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a very hard working and dedicated staff who took pride in quality of their work. Not much else positive to report.

    Cons

The pay for account managers was below industry average, the hours were horrible and HR was only concerned with supporting company propaganda. Their 401(k) had an industry-leading match of 0.00% for employee contributions.

Middle and upper management consists of some of the laziest, most dishonest, dysfunctional people I have ever had the displeasure of knowing and being associated with. I wrote up one of my superiors for being a lying incompetent slug and was let go shortly thereafter. One of the worst jobs for one of the worst companies imaginable.

    Advice to Management

Dear Management. Find a mirror. Look closely at what you see. Excellent. You've just discovered what is wrong with this company.

I worked at Marsden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice people to work with as the crew. Very hardworking. Was fun going to work everyday. Work itself was easy.

    Cons

Management not receptive to employees concerns and comments. They hire good people but do not show appreciation, so the good ones don't last.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees. Show them that they are appreciated. Listen to their concerns. Improve benefits instead of cutting back.

I have been working at Marsden full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wide open promotion possibilities. Fair wage for what is asked.

    Cons

Absolutely no leadership. No clear path to being promoted. Kind of a lottery in being at the right spot at the right time. Lots of family members hiring other family members.

I worked at Marsden full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Looks like a good company with good people with the financial support to have a big operation.

    Cons

Even thou Marsden is in 45 states with billions in revenue basically through buying smaller competitors, there is not much of a company culture, there's not a unified way of doing things, knowledge is not shared among sales reps.
-There is the concept of Marsden University, which is University of Phoenix in disguise without the "paper value".
-The buddy training system does not work among sales reps because to each its own and results are king!
    - No results in 60 days and you are gone.

    Advice to Management

The concept of Marsden University is bright, but you need to do a REAL Marsden University with a way to customize and homogenize knowledge the Marsden way and have a Marsden sales culture with true sales leaders that will help grow your people and your business - organic growth. Make your employees love Marsden and stop low balling it as "we didn't go to school to sell janitorial". If you are going to do something go big or go home!

I have been working at Marsden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It seems as though the pay is competitive. Probably one of the better reasons to work there.

    Cons

CEO and CIO favor family members - create positions for them. They give them raises and promotions for nothing. Not a good way to run a company. Other employees are not blind.

    Advice to Management

Wake up executive team. You are going to lose good people with family favoritism,
