I have been working at Marsh full-time

    Pros

    Job security
    Benefits aren't too bad

    Cons

Not much potential for more compensation within your role. Management structure isn't great for receiving employee feedback.

    Advice to Management

Consider a bonus program or more frequent pay increases to reward top performers.

I worked at Marsh as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Basically like any other receptionist position. Answering and routing calls, booking and cleaning conference rooms, maintaining reception area, etc. Co-workers were friendly enough. This is a nice position for someone who may just be starting out and wants/needs office experience.

    Cons

Being in a smaller and quieter office, there wasn't much opportunity for upward mobility. Maybe being located in a larger office with more responsibility would better prepare one for a role as office manager of that branch, or a variety of other administrative roles in the future.

    Pros

Straight forward. Decent benefits. Team was very helpful.

    Cons

Not the most engaging of workspaces. Felt like a drone most of the time.

    Pros

I really like the people I work with on a day-to-day basis, and I appreciate the benefits and the flexibility of my job. It's a very stable company with many long-time employees.

    Cons

The company is a bit stingy with raises and perks for employees, and the culture is conservative and slow to change.
