I have been working at Marsh & McLennan Companies as a contractor (More than a year)
This is a great company with good benefits & lots of perks.
If your not a person who like CHANGE, this may not be the job for you.
I worked at Marsh & McLennan Companies full-time (More than 3 years)
Benefits, co-workers, company parties they always gave us good food
Poor management and poor training no room to advance

Great work environment and very friendly co-workers.
Difficult to move up in the company.
Marsh spares no expense for their employees. Tenure runs very high in the office to prove how much Marsh values their employees. The training process is comprehensive, inclusive, and every detail has been thought out. Staff is committed to a team environment and supporting each other. Resources are always available to help out employees. There is a high degree of professionalism in the office.
Being a very large company, there are many processes and workflows you have to learn to do your job correctly. Once you learn them it's no big deal. I really can't think of any major cons to working at Marsh.
Advice to Management
Management has been great. I'd love to meet more of the leadership, but I understand this is difficult as Marsh is nationwide.
Well if your lucky to get a bonus then that is one of the best reason to work at Marsh USA inc.
Lack of communitcation, leadership, ownership of responsability. Micromanagement... i.e. what did you do yesterday , why did it take you an hour to complete a project that should have only taken u 15 mins. Having supervisors walk around to ensure your at your desk. Losing best talent because no money, yet Marsh had one of the best years in 2009.
Advice to Management
Pay your people what they are worth and maybe they will stick around longer.
