    Pros

Benefits are some of the best available to employees (health, paid time off, etc.). Wonderful co-workers.

    Cons

Long hours, unreasonable work expectations, limited advancement opportunities (prefer to hire from outside the company), repeated layoffs.

I worked at Marsh & McLennan Companies full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Its a good company. Top in its field. Upper management knows to be profitable it has to retain its people. They do this by giving competitive salaries and good employee benefits. Periodically they send surveys to better understand the morale of the employees but also to see if there is anything they should add or change in the benefits to the employees. They care and they show it.

    Cons

Due to restructuring in the department there was no work/life balance. Long hours were required with little or no compensation for them.

    Advice to Management

Finish the restructuring soon or you will lose good people that just can't or don't want to do that kind of overtime. It's the nature of the business to do some overtime, but when you get to the point where you don't see your family for long stretches of time then its too much.

I worked at Marsh & McLennan Companies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Generous vacation and work from home policy.

    Cons

Expect to work very long hours and weekends and sacrifice all personal/family time for this company. 80-90 hours is the normal range and overnight hours were very common. I worked on a project that lasted two years and we worked every weekend. Management and executive leadership did nothing to compensate any team member and barely even noticed the commitment it's IT team made to firm initiatives. This resulted... in high turnover and low morale.

    Advice to Management

If I could give you zero stars I would. Respect your employees and provide a work/life balance. No one can work 24 hours a day/7 days a week and you certainly don't compensate for it.

I have been working at Marsh & McLennan Companies for more than a year

    Pros

a regular paycheck is about all you can look forward to

    Cons

Croneyism, no accountability at senior levels, mid/juniors are continuously scapegoated for management poor or lack of decisions. Seniors regularly steal credit for subordinates' work "Collateral Duties" is a catch-all phrase which, when decoded, means that you have to work long hours with no hope of recognition or compensation to mitigate senior managements' mistakes

    Advice to Management

Replace the current leadership team with new blood and break up the old boys' network
