    Pros

To interact with customers the best highlight of the work day. Very strong minded employees once you get to know them, To be able to be in charge and organize your own work area. The thought of your responsible of how your sales area reflects who you are as a person. So it was nice like being at home. constantly maintaining. that was the easy part.

    Cons

The only downside was when it was time to cut hours...it was hard to live off of. Even if you had a second job. Still no room to enjoy your personal life.

    Advice to Management

Really no complaints on the management, understand they have priorities and deadlines so understand where the pressure comes from. Just wish be a little more understanding to peoples personal promblems. I missed one day over some personal issues I couldnt control; never missed one day ever. and they let me go. wish they understood especially for the loyal and hardworkers for that company. I felt like my dedication was in vein.

    Pros

Working for this company for 2+ years and the opportunities in the years coming are amazing.I like that we have moring meetings atleast 4 times a week. Where the floor is yours when they ask any question makes you feel part of a team. I like that our Store Manager welcome any ideas and walks you dept. with a positive outlook.

    Cons

Cons- Hmm , well the company tends to keep associates that waste payroll where we can have new hires that can work more efficient and with a sense of urgency cause it is a fast pace place. There are associate that have been with the company for 10+ years and when I work with them thay act like they just started yesterday yet there complaing about someone who has only worked with the company 2 years moving up.

    Advice to Management

Offer more FOL classes to associate wanting to become Merch/Opt mangers

I have been working at Marshalls full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to advance if you have the talent and work hard. Great benifits and reasonable pay. The company is very pro associate and does not descriminate.

    Cons

Communication can be a challenge as well as individual store organization.

    Advice to Management

Continue with the company values but stop micro managing things, trust your store teams that have the training and know how to do their jobs. Things aren't to bad now however I can see where things are going more and more towards reports and forms that have to be done instead of us focusing on our business.

I have been working at Marshalls full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They do work with conflicting schedules. The managers are great and have a open door policy and will help resolve any concerns you may have.

    Cons

The pay is not really what you would think it would be considering how big the TJX company really is. It could pay its coordinators more for the work that they really do for the company.
