I have been working at Marshalls full-time

    Pros

Fast paced, coordinators get paid holidays.

    Cons

85% of employees are part time, get paid terribly while their managers make 5x that much.

    Advice to Management

    Pay the "little people" more.

I have been working at Marshalls part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management, pretty good pay, 10% employee discount (20% several weekends/year). Great customer service and return policy. Great merchandise lines and pricing. Management works hard to meet time off requests of employees. No discernible age, race or gender discrimination in hiring.

    Cons

Would like higher pay and closer location, but leaving will be hard. One minute after start time is considered tardy. Part-time may not get but 10 hours/week during certain periods.

    Advice to Management

Run every store like 1008, with management on side of both employee and customer.

    Cons

The discount is only 10% which isn't that big.

    I worked at Marshalls part-time

    Pros

It was a very laid back company to work for. The pay was decent and being paid weekly was a plus that you don't find much anymore.

    Cons

Sometimes it was a little too laid back and disorganized. When I did a follow up phone call after my interview it was realized that my application had been lost. I was a little upset and surprised that after being complimented on my work habits, positive attitude and drive by not only my immediate supervisor, store manager AND regional manager , I was let go after a month because of a misdemeanor from 5 YEARS prior.

I worked at Marshalls part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've worked for Marshall's for almost 2 years. Management team was so AMAZING and looked out for there employees.

    Cons

Cons, I will have to say is there was not many room for improvement in my store. And not that many hours at certain times.

I have been working at Marshalls part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Weekly paycheck that is about it

    Cons

Overworked and underpaid employees. Exploitative work environment than some other retail stores. They treat their employees like slaves. The four star rating for this company is a joke, it should be two and a half stars if tjx isn't paying their employees to bombard this site with excellent rating. Maybe some are new employees.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for management because they are part of the problem. All they care about is their yearly bonus, reaping the benefits of the hard work of their employees.
