    Pros

Good experience to learn how to order build. Also learning how to use WMS, loading trucks. Learning how to stage.

    Cons

Bad equipment, not enough equipment, system is broken. Not enough good mangers on the floor to keep floor clean. etc

    Advice to Management

I don't know how to explain. Their is so much.

    Pros

The only pro to working at this company is most coworkers are decent people who help you keep it together so you can survive the daily dose of poison spooned out by management.

    Cons

No work-life balance. Be prepared to rarely see family & friends. What time you're not there will be spent decompressing bc you run yourself ragged while there. The only ones who aren't overwhelmed with work are the few favored employees who clearly don't have enough work. They stand out because they are the ones who stroll the building completing their fluff tasks trying their best to look busy. Please think twice before seeking employment here. The life you save could be your own.

    Advice to Management

Show even the slightest bit of respect for your work force and treat to them as you would want to be treated then perhaps maybe you'll see a decline in poor morale. Stop playing favorites. Almost all of the issues are a direct result of having the wrong individuals in positions of authority. Seniority alone does not mean a person is qualified to be a supervisor.

    I worked at Martin-Brower full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One would say money but no not really...it is certainly never time because they don't take commuting into consideration for your 10 hours. Safety...non existent. You can talk safety all you want but if you don't practice what you preach what good is all the safetsafety lessons and coming to mandatory safety meetings after 3 hours of sleep. One silverlining is the other clerks, pickers, drivers, and loaders who are truly the only backbone to Martin Brower.

    Cons

Drive can is the greatest and most harmful thing to the trucking industry. Great in the respect that if you are ever in an accident it may save your career and on the other hand may also ruin your career. I have been out 2 months and my anxiety levels have dropped tremendously, without that micro managing tool I actually preform better at my new company which really promotes safety and following the law. Went from hard breaking a lot to zero and have been able to focus more on being a better driver. Management is the worst I have ever worked for and the amazing thing is the Transportation Manager had a Class B driver driving around for him, for over a year and he doesn't know he only has a Class B Learners Permit. Puh- lease! Then scapegoat the resigning HR guy...that's priceless, hilarious, and quite dangerous.

    Advice to Management

Wipe that brown stuff from your noses and learn how to be more accountable for your actions.

    Pros

They want 20 words, but I don't have a good word to put. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away. Stay away.

    Cons

Very bad management. They change the goal posts on a daily schedule. Never back you up. The low to mid management are useless. They think they have all these ideas, but makes things worse, and them blame everyone else cause they failed. If you show you have skills, knowledge and know-how to make the company succeed, you are shot for using it by low mid management.

    Advice to Management

    Get new management.

I have been working at Martin-Brower full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Always work to be done. Pays the bills. Most of the people are nice. Nice equipment. Warehouse does a good job compared to other locations. Its a good job if you can keep a good attitude.

Union shop-not sure if thats a good or bad thing.

    Cons

New guys must be available anytime. Takes at least 1.5 years to get your own routes. Very physically demanding. Not enough pay to compensate for when your body gets worn out down there road. Must work a 6 day shift (inc sat) to make any decent money. 5 day shift incl sat is mandatory. Routers are in need of improvement. They have to hit a case quota on the truck, and deal with specific timing windows of 550+ stores, sometimes making the truck run illogically. Dealing with a customer that pays minimum wage, that is usually understaffed, while the drivers are not paid by the hour, makes the delivery process aggravating to say the least.

    Advice to Management

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ its probably as good as it can possibly ever be. When good trans supervisors and assistant managers/managers are looking to leave, maybe trying to get them to stay would be a nice approach.

    Pros

The pay was good as well as the benefits. Not including management there are great people to work with. There was a teamwork feel until micro managing began.

    Cons

Pay is good but you will double work hours to get it. Management across the board holds no accountability. For the most part you are treated poorly. General lack for safety.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees. They all know you don't care, but you could at least act like it. Don't turn heads when unethical situations occur. Be honest!
